Well, many different meanings for about any acronym. In the context of my first post it means dynamic difficulty adjustment.

No, it's crazy for anyone to use "conspiracy theory" when someone is stating the well-known fact that pretty much every software game uses Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment.
It's what keeps players engrossed..when it's used properly. By properly, that's when designers/developers have the higher-level skill sets to incorporate it so that the customer/player doesn't realize it's there. Manipulation is fine, when you can pull it off.

Nothing against the person posting and it is frustrating to lose when you feel you played good enough to win. I just thought to be fair though in baseball which IMO the best sport of all the major sports it is a game that favors the pitcher and as everyone knows even the best hitters guys who are HOF caliber in real life arent successful 40% of the time while and the top hitters on the Show are at best .500 overall hitters meaning the best the game of baseball has to offer fails at hitting at least half the time combining The Show and real life. I read many times from a poster that they lost to a team that had × amount of strike outs. I have to assume the game was close in most cases and most likely not a 11 to 10 shoot out so I think what is missed is there people who are very disciplined in there hitting approach taking balls obviously and even good about llaying off pitchers pitches and that is a great approach but in this game if you match to hitters who are admittedly not goons who will mash anything on the screen the guy who may be flailing at many pitches does guess right and when he does hit from a attacking aggressive position leading to many of his or her hits to be XBH it is a risk reward approach and probably a good 1 if your not confident you are going to string hits together and advance runners. So the other player who feels hes doing things the right way by being disciplined at the plate trying to be smart and work counts what he is not doing is taking the amount of swing the more aggressive player is and when the more aggressive player figures something out with a pitch sequence and guesses right a few times runs are on the board while the more disciplined player electing to walk and be more reactionary to what is thrown if he doesn't have the hits and walks strung together often will not see runs. In real ball teams that have a couple good innings or teams that may strike out a lot are seeing the ball and getting what there looking for put up runs at a high clip. There is of course a flipside when the high strike out power teams aren't able to guess correctly or are not seeing the ball they do extremely poorly. Just a thought I've read many post similar and think sounds like 2 guys pitched pretty good and 1 finally got on a few balls it doesn't matter when your opponent scores if you dont out score them

Yeah, I dunno how they got it coded. So many random outcomes. Sometimes you'll be the guy that gets sketchy unhittable pitches..sometimes you'll be the guy that thumps the ball, but always at'em balls.
Sometimes you'll be the guy that gets that homerun that wins that 1-0 extra-inning fiasco of a game (happened to me many times) and you just sit there thinking - my opponent is probably really pizzed right now because I didn't even intend to swing at that ball..checked up and smashed it 440 with 115 exit velocity. Those are the moments you know how the game really works.

If you don't believe this type code is thread through nearly every game on the market..you are the tin-foil hat wearing dipstick. Just not as obvious in all games as it is in DD. When playing RTTS, you can select Beginner through Legend for skill level. You can also choose Dynamic. Dynamic adjusts based on your skill to normalize the experience to produce simulation like stats.
EA has copyright to a DDA algorithm that CAN be used by other companies if you want to pay for it. SDS doesn't use EA's algorithm. EA lost in litigation where they claimed it did not exist in their game. They were forced to reveal code and sure enough, it did.
Random number generators exist in every game from Dungeons and Dragons, to Russian roulette. They have nothing to do with DDA. If they did, it wouldn't be a random number, would it?

I can almost tell you every play and if it will be made or not solely depending on the score. The only thing that trumps this is if you leave a pitcher in too long and confidence and energy are shot..
Ball in the hole at SS - you are up by 5 play gets made every time unless pitcher is shot. Down by 5 you are safe. Outfielders get better jumps and run faster if you behind. Relays are quicker when you are behind. Exactly why you can take more chances on the base paths when behind because the computer will take a little more time to throw. Not sure how people can't see this. The score will dictate the outcome a lot of times.
Precisely why I don't take extra bases when up in the game. You will get thrown out. Problem is you don't go and the next guy is lining out.

He'll animate those Perfect swings as "TOO Late", "Too Early", whatever nonsense warning-track shots or spectacular plays the defense makes. Further, he'll then take those Perfect pitches you throw and turn one into a tater so you lose 1-0. There are also the frequent disconnects that no one can avoid.
So, for anyone to suggest a REAL 40-4 record is just insulting to those of us that know how the game works and, personally, we believe you to be a liar.

My tirade has little to do with losing. These losses give me the opportunities to share the huge glaring problem with the game.
And, also, I hope to counter balance all these posts on this forum that are aimed at marketing the latest Mission/Event that pukes out more 99 Diamonds that just saturate the market and completely invalidate them.
Last week's 95 Diamonds just get retired to be replaced by "the new kid in town". It's a cluster..pure and simple.
The most fun time in this game is always the first couple weeks when everyone is using different players and the crazy-rated diamonds haven't started to become as common as Commons.
I hope by continually posting truths and bugs found in the game it will bring the Developers attention to what really needs worked on. Overhauling the DDA (you can't replace it because this game wouldn't work w/o it). But re engineering it so even the most gullible player don't notice what's happening. Polishing it so we can lose/win and not notice the glaring AI interference and feel somewhat comfortable with that win or loss.
I want to start liking this game again. We ain't going to get there by sharing posts about how awesome the latest Mission is. We only get there by whining and complaining about the bugs, glitches, and outright animation fabrications. When that stops working...you just quit buying the game.

A great player will beat a terrible player 100 out of 100 times. Those that are complaining about what this dill hole post is complaining about are not as good as they think they are and come to these forums to complain that they are being cheated by the game. And DDA is an EA sports outcome/decision table. It is also trademarked by EA and cannot be used by SDS.
