I feel like the game is in a dry place right now. I know we just got the 4th inning program, but by the time you complete the conquest map, there’s really nothing to do. And now it’s so hard to earn XP from just playing the game, that it’s almost not worth it.

Idk maybe it’s just me but I think we need either TA3 or something like the Old-timers program from last year.

I’m bored. I keep waiting for a meaningful game play patch more than anything else.

It’s straight up the state of the game. Pinpoint has made pitching enjoyable, but the servers, the same defensive issues , contact swing are just a few things that are killing the game.

    I was thinking this too.

I guess I'm grinding some events now, but between the xp nerf and the conquest map rewards bottoming out, I can completely see offline players being very bored.

I did the CO quest and 3/4 of all the strongholds on the USA map today and I have like 120k xp or so. Doesn't seem too hard to get XP. I didn't do the 3rdninning boss collection either.

I hate online play though, but yeah, it's getting a bit tedious to be honest.

Nothing is really that fun to me anymore besides ranked but I have to be in the right mindset to play it. There’s not a “chill” mode that’s fun for me right now.

My son and I had the same discussion...
The problem is the game doesn't seem to offer any type of unique rewards for hardcore players. It's a participation trophy, almost "woke" situation where everybody has the best cards, and there are enough glitches to make bad players competitive.
    Everybody wins.
It's like, "Wow, another Diamond Card with unbelievable numbers. Hooray."
Head-to-head is the same game, over and over.
And the pitching is so insane, 5 runs seems like a slugfest.

I’m getting bored too. The current state of the game killed my desire to play. I can’t stand contact swings, Edward Cabrera and variable timing windows between innings anymore

Yeah the game has lost its luster. Online play is a ppp and contact swings circle [censored]. Theres no fun in playing a 1-0 game where you cant see fastballs and the game is decided on a bullshiit bunt or a contact swing HR where the ball isn't even in the pci.

Then there's offline, where there is zero content currently after you complete the 4th of July map, and when they do release something it's just a bunch of conquests Sims or bs moments. Both are just a chore. and for what? the rewards are usually handful of silvers.

Events and br are complete rng and it's way to easy for people to sit there and foul pitches off that are bouncing to the plate.

The market has shitt the bed.

And now they made it to where people who don't cheat with xp glitches have to play twice as many hours to get to the bosses that the cheaters already reached. I know people are excited about the new inning but I think it's trash. There's like a 150k window where you are only earning 4th of July gear that you will never use.

I just feel like at every corner there is something new in the way of making the game enjoyable. Rant over .

I feel you bro, I’ve made WS and completed the BR program and gotten 40 wins in the event and it seems like MLB the show is the enjoyable game on the market right now but the content gets very dry quickly. I play the game quite a bit when I don’t have my own baseball games or hanging out with a friend. I’m also pretty pissed off as I had a glitch with my team affinity stage 1 pack where I couldn’t get Mike Yastrzemski so it’s basically impossible for me to get 42 series Jackie and I’ve submitted 4 tickets with no luck.

I've gotten quite bored with it at this point, but it's mostly my fault for playing too much the first couple months. I mean, the game is what it's been for the four years I've played it - the field plays way too small, hard contact feels unrewarding so much of the time (it's too easy to make good contact so their solution is lining out constantly), hitting into double plays far too often, broken bats on inside pitches all the time, etc. etc. etc.

The card collecting aspect has been what's kept me buying the game but that's not going to be enough anymore. The underlying game mechanics aren't very enjoyable and I haven't seen any sign that they intend to change/improve them.

Team affinity was my go to thing. I hope they add more. Without that, it is sort of dull.
