How do you climb the wall?

Sorry to make a thread on this but I can’t do it. I see my opponents constantly doing it. Even robbing me half the time

is there something special to do? I get to the arrows and R2 or up on the stick and they just jump,havent seen one climb

I have seen them jump up on the wall. Basically that is called Climbing. Rock climbers actually do this in lower terrain. Check it out. Appreciate the answer.

Seriously though, I've never come close. Would be cool if SDS would UPDATE PLAYER ANIMATIONS cuz my guys just pathetically jump up in the air like 2'. I've never seen them "climb".

The climbing happens when a batter hits a ball to the fence and there's a chance to rob it. When that happens, there will be those green arrow things in addition to the fly ball marker. Pressing the left button once the fielder is in the catch zone will cause him to climb the fence as much as necessary and catch the ball.
This is dependent on your fielding settings and controller mapping, of course. But I did it with Grady Sizemore the other day.

Pay attention to the Green Arrow's and once the Green Arrow reaches the top you try to time it perfectly and hit either R1 or R2 on Playstation I can't remember which one but you definitely have to hit one of those buttons and you definitely climb the wall not just jump I have robbed several home runs and have had several robbed from me.

its R1 when the last green bar is full even then its still hit or miss... i wish when it happens it was easier or the cameras would change or just something....

Yea it’s R-1 and unless you have Ramon Laureano your prob not gona catch it. I haven’t done it yet in this years game though and I use Judge a lot, it’s just always too high over the Fence to make a play whenever i attempted, but I’ve had it done to me few times, Luis Robert Robbed me the other day, it was dead center, dude just jumped like Spider-Man (Tori Hunter) put his glove slightly over wall and snagged it

I have had a player climb an imaginary wall! The wall was 2' tall but the player just kept climbing as if it was an 8' fall!

I robbed somebody in DD in LF with Brady Sizemore yesterday
