Original Diamond Choices

One of the changes that SDS implemented this year which I thought was really nice was the promotion of an extra diamond choice player with pre-order of non-standard editions. instead of a 'special' player which was only available under limited circumstances, the early bird wallet warriors got a minor head start by gaining a card which we all had so many chances to get...Way too many chances to get.
At this point in the year we've all opened so many 30 diamond choice packs and sold so many of these players that I am wondering...which ones did you find the most useful?
AS Chipper Jones lived on my bench as a PH until December. 450 PA/.402 BA/ 87 RBI
PS Joe Carter was a lefty killing PH and occasional 1B for me until October. 135 PA/.371 BA/30 RBIWho were your Original 30 Diamond Choice MVP's.

Chipper, Wood, and Oswalt were easily the 3 most useful. Maybe Felix as well. Steve Finley was the last player I took out when I got every position 90+
-
Felix is still in the rotation on my all Mariners theme team.
My choice was Longoria, and I think he played at third until I got that Edgar Martinez from the event.
-
Torii Hunter was my go-to CF until McCutchen.
-
87 Chipper Jones .353/.388/.488 in 807 at-bats.
87 Cal Ripken .323/.358/.445 in 449 at-bats.
87 Jason Kendall .298/.336/.336 in 265 at-bats.
89 Roy Oswalt 89.1 innings 3.53 ERA 1.05 WHIP -
Rickey was in my lineup for the first 2-3 months
-
I am hoping we get an event limited to just these 30 cards. RP would be a bit thin though.

In retrospect we probably all should've taken Chipper Jones, but that 87 Kendall was good too. I took Henderson because it's Rickey f'ing Henderson, and he turned out only ok in my opinion.

I'm still killing it with Rookie Oswalt and old man Gwynn in the event.

I have to disagree. I took Henderson then took Chipper later on and I still preferred Rickey and glad I took him first. I enjoyed Chipper and he did his job when I used him but in retrospect I don't regret taking Rickey. I think it also comes down to who works best for your style of play. I like speedier guys with good defense. It's why Jose Reyes is my starting shortstop.
