Just play Casual Online.
Remember the good old days when these games had lobbies? What happened to those?
Yeah. Specifically Madden. Madden 2009/10 was when I really started getting into online play and I had a lot of fun in those lobbies and chatting with other players while playing them too.

Remember the sportsmanship rating or whatever it was so you would know if your opponent plays like a tool or disconnects a lot

Yeah. After the game they'd let you rate your opponent.

That was actually really fun. Peak madden for me. The lobbies were hilarious, I remember the spammers and the “who wants to lose” etc from the players who played 1000+ games and a barely 50% win rate

Hall of fame really isn’t that hard to play on once you’ve experienced legend. Makes HOF feel like all star

I agree to this in some ways. I would be happy just to pick a division to play in.
HoF is where my already bad pci placement goes to die
I'm with you brother!

Just go into an RS game immediately quit, do this a few times to tank your rating.

This game used to have that? Please bring it back. And ping indicators.

In my experience when I quit a game the next few games are miserable.
-
Honestly I just get to 700 and then lose 1-2 games so I stay in All-Star. I hate sweating my a$$ off in HOF and Legend
-
Or do what I do. High ranked games, event games and BR, I put my WS icon and banner on. Once I get sick of the warped pitching from higher players, I take those off and tank down to 500. I honestly don't think anyone knows I'm a WS player. I usually switch up my lineups and rotations and try different people.

I still want to play vs good opponents but with the opportunity to hit that stupid inside sinker...

its called online rated. with real teams. and its actually way better. i just started doing it again. actually pitching to real teams without all the fake stats is really nice.

I don’t doubt it! I was in an online league back in 17 and loved it. It’s nice actually having strengths and weaknesses on teams.

I jumped in a regular online rated last night and it just didn't feel right. In the past I always thought regular online rated played better than DD. Felt smoother and more real. I don't get that feeling this year.

bad idea, then youd have top tier players selecting lower divisions to beat up on lesser opponents

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but this game's player base would quickly flood the system with undeserved negative ratings because they couldn't deal with a disappointing loss. And that's before you even consider all the trolls who would do the same just to be annoying.
