There’s a lot of stuff that can be frustrating but you’re playing the same game as your opponent. Don’t expect to win every game and just have fun for what it is.
Not sure why being able to stop runners is an issue. Run them back to the bag.
I swear it’s threads like these that fuel people to do more of it. If someone holds R2, I wait til they stop, even if that means getting my pitch auto-selected and I have to step off. I don’t get on here and complain about it.
First and foremost, why should anyone be forced to deal with that stuff. It's all fixable.
You'ree telling me to cater my game experience around some jackwagon abusing mechanics in the game as they were not intended to be used.
How is that fun? When was anything about winning or losing mentioned?
I don't play games like it's a job, I play to find entertainment. None of that is entertaining. If you want to stay complacent, that's your lane, and you can stay in it. Voicing frustrations over unchecked gameplay issues by the developer of this game is perfectly reasonable.
You don't like my post about it, treat it like you do the gameplay and just move along
Just think some of it is avoidable if you don’t let it get under your skin so much. Baserunners being able to stop isn’t anything that needs to be fixed. And yeah the R2 stuff is annoying but if you just wait them out and not let it get under your skin it’s not a huge issue.
So a few years ago they introduced stumble animations for baserunners because people would do things like return to first base if they got a bad jump on a steal. They would also get into rundowns on purpose.
Using R2 is supposed to be if you want to stop a runner to see if a ball will land. Instead people use it to stop their runner and change direction immediately. So you can avoid getting throw out on steals or still get into rundowns and see if you get an animation to exploit.
The game that just promoted this post, was against a twit trying to employ these tactics. The baserunning stuff is a cake walk, I use throw cancel and take the free outs. This special piece of work however during every AB, before every pitch, was randomly hitting the 42 trigger to screw up my PPP.
Literally every pitch, didn't matter if I let it run and hit L1 to cancel he was not stopping. Again, not what R2 is supposed to be used for, but isn't being addressed by the developers of the game.
Why are you so willing to defend this stuff for them? You paid money to play the game. You're experiencing people abusing it as well. Again, if you want to just wear it and not make a peep about it, you do you. You're not going to convince me I need to shut up about it though.
