I'm not even going into the realm of sliders and PCI not touching the ball type stuff here. I mean animation goofs that cause missed plays. Pop ups the 1B can get to but it selects the OF instead and you can't switch to the 1B in time.
Repeatedly smacking R2 to force an error using your shiny new pitching input. Unrealistic player positioning and shifting. Being able to use R2 on the base paths to stop on a dime and change directions until you get a bad fielder animation.
The list goes on and you've done nothing to improve the toxic game environment despite two full months after release. Most of this stuff should've been nabbed in general quality control measures.
Keep throwing out the content because that's cool and takes hardly any time to put together though, it's so much fun to use it all.
I'm thankful to have a solid Custom League to play in. Speaking of which, can you turn on the Inside Edge and Paralell cards please. I don't want to be able to level up in CL, but I would like my Arenado IV to be allowed so I can somewhat use him.

It's the same with Madden....I try to enjoy the game offline ONLY. I found out years ago that it just angers me to play online. Especially Madden where everyone uses the youtube glitch plays. Sorry, I don't have the time to go research glitches. I just want to play and have fun. But can only do that offline unfortuantely.

There’s a lot of stuff that can be frustrating but you’re playing the same game as your opponent. Don’t expect to win every game and just have fun for what it is.
Not sure why being able to stop runners is an issue. Run them back to the bag.
I swear it’s threads like these that fuel people to do more of it. If someone holds R2, I wait til they stop, even if that means getting my pitch auto-selected and I have to step off. I don’t get on here and complain about it.

It's called focus on the low-hanging cherries..the easy stuff that is visible and makes customers believe someone cares. kick the can down the road of anything that is difficult and takes a good bit of work. Sometimes kicking that can into never-ever land.

My least favorite people to play are the people that cheese base running with all speed lineups and take advantage of the horrible in game animations and no urgency throwing. One of the only things that makes me rage.

First and foremost, why should anyone be forced to deal with that stuff. It's all fixable.
You'ree telling me to cater my game experience around some jackwagon abusing mechanics in the game as they were not intended to be used. How is that fun? When was anything about winning or losing mentioned?
I don't play games like it's a job, I play to find entertainment. None of that is entertaining. If you want to stay complacent, that's your lane, and you can stay in it. Voicing frustrations over unchecked gameplay issues by the developer of this game is perfectly reasonable.
You don't like my post about it, treat it like you do the gameplay and just move along

Just think some of it is avoidable if you don’t let it get under your skin so much. Baserunners being able to stop isn’t anything that needs to be fixed. And yeah the R2 stuff is annoying but if you just wait them out and not let it get under your skin it’s not a huge issue.

yes this...i'm not good at all. i have 19 wins this season because of 6 people quitting after an out. I played a guy today i was up in the 8th 3-0....he started bunting....over and over and over i moved guys in but the reaction of my defense was not good. lost 5-3....he had 2 legit hits ended up with 9, 7 of which were bunts. Its on me for not playing better defense i guess, but man its frustrating.

So a few years ago they introduced stumble animations for baserunners because people would do things like return to first base if they got a bad jump on a steal. They would also get into rundowns on purpose.
Using R2 is supposed to be if you want to stop a runner to see if a ball will land. Instead people use it to stop their runner and change direction immediately. So you can avoid getting throw out on steals or still get into rundowns and see if you get an animation to exploit.
The game that just promoted this post, was against a twit trying to employ these tactics. The baserunning stuff is a cake walk, I use throw cancel and take the free outs. This special piece of work however during every AB, before every pitch, was randomly hitting the 42 trigger to screw up my PPP.
Literally every pitch, didn't matter if I let it run and hit L1 to cancel he was not stopping. Again, not what R2 is supposed to be used for, but isn't being addressed by the developers of the game.
Why are you so willing to defend this stuff for them? You paid money to play the game. You're experiencing people abusing it as well. Again, if you want to just wear it and not make a peep about it, you do you. You're not going to convince me I need to shut up about it though.

The game isn’t good, that’s the truth. SDS is starting to enter In to the EA realm. Yeah we don’t have to pay if we don’t want, but this game has the same bs that last year did . It’s honestly so RNG based it’s not enjoyable

Ha..it can be frustrating. I've finally just got right with the fact I'm watching MLB animation play out and sometimes it's going to show me having success..sometimes it's going to show the other guy.
The ones that have the worst records, I suspect, are the ones that haven't got right with that. They quit because of the very things you mention.
We all know you can be losing 4-0 all the way into the 9th and then the artificial takes over and balls you couldn't hit the entire game you start mashing..regardless if it's Eck pitching or Ick.
As long as you can suspend your disbelief and finish games, the 'ol parity factor in this game will reward you with a .500 record or thereabouts.

I'm afraid if I brought alcohol into the mix I might throw a controller through a TV.

Defensive animations do need a serious revamping. .

Not to mention the nonsensical notion of having baserunning commands tied to the servers. I have to wait to make sure the runner is selected before telling them where to go. By that time, the play has already developed. Why aren’t baserunning commands localized on the console? That’s just laziness. I heard so much about how this game is such a better experience than Madden.
I’ve put in over 300 hrs and can’t for the life of me reconcile how quick pitching in online play prevents you from making substitutions, or how leaning back toward the base doesn’t work online while leading off. The only explanation is that the money is in selling packs. Pure and simple. All sport games are doomed. No competition or incentive to improve gameplay. Exclusive licensing ensures that we won’t get another truly great sports game in my lifetime. -
