No stats vs quitters
-
So this is starting to happen alot, where my opponent will just quit when in process of hitting homerun. Game will track the proper score, and my hitter will round the bases, very slowly. Upon crossin the plate, game will end and show final score. However it doesnt track the stats from the HR. Has happened to 96 Rizzo 3 times now in past couple days or so. Annoying as hell when goin for parallel xp.
Is this supposed to happen? Anyon3 else with this problem

Yes this happens. Just take the win and move on, nothing can be done.

I got lucky earlier and had someone quit mid homerun for trout and it slowly showed the bases lighting up and still counted right before it gave me the message for the lost connection.

I think opponents get so frustrated about elements of the game they perceive as artificial or construed or just pure AI manipulation they take it out on their opponents.
Probably (cause I don't know) the thought process is "This game screwed me again, frustrating the heck out of me, so if all I can do is make my opponent feel a little bit of my pain..I won't feel so bad". Something like that. I'm sure it's nothing personal.
The folks that do this probably would never ever react the same way to legitimate top-of-the-table losses in real life. But, sometimes when you're powerless and feeling cheated, you try to gain some measure of control by something as small as subtracting an opponent's PERCEIVED undeserved home run.
But, yeah, I'm assuming there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.
