I hate moments

Yup, not fun at all, just time filler that needs to be gotten out the way. I also don't think I've ever read the blurb as to why I'm even doing it, as I don't care. All I read is "hit a homer", as that's what I need to do.
-
They are the bane of my existence and i hate them with every fiber of my being. There's Multi-game moments, moments where you have a runner on first who refuses to go to third on a gapper that should easily be the one XBH I need, there's having to hit a HR with a LH batter with like 60 power off a LH pitcher when his power off RH pitcher is like 85-90 and the pitcher is basically Nook LaLoosh before he started wearing garters and can't hit the zone for $hit...and the best is watching a pitcher throw to first 7 times to pick off the slow runner that refuses to go past second.
I would rather be doomed to play for Fortnite for hours on end than have to do another moment, but I digress and I do them bc you have to as they are a part of DD.
But I'm fine! Really, I'm fine! All is well!
Go Braves!
I don't think i've ever liked this many posts in one thread!

moments are a terrible part of this game.
but everyone at sds says "these are fan favorites"
i have no idea where theyd get that from though.Because they force them onto us and then say “look at how many people are playing these!”
People wouldn’t be playing them as much if it’s basically the only way to be involved with their content.
correct, your forced to play the content in order to get the rewards.
so yeah everyone does the moments.... -

so yeah everyone does the moments....Topps Now, POTM, Showdowns (glorified moments), Team Affinity (although those are easy to skip), Player Programs, Daily Moments.
Take those out and what content do we really have?

I almost posted this last night after my 75th attempt of a particular moment. I quit out after failing again and got 1,978 xp. I was doing that for 45min. Like wow. Basically no xp compared to other modes, stats don’t track, no progress toward anything. I wouldn’t mind the moments as much if the stats counted and the xp was turned up. Because it’s definitely not enjoyable

I think some of you forget the pre moment challenges, like having to get an HR and a 2B in the same game as a 78 ovr Griffey Jr with no power. I always think of those challenges and it gets me less annoyed at what we have now
Crime is better in my neighborhood. I only get stabbed now. I used to get shot.
My biggest issue is the lack of decent pitches from the cpu. I end up swapping to directional hitting and swing power every time. It's the only way I could get the two Dave Parker homeruns done after about a hundred tries.
-
I did the Wander moments yesterday...Had the total bases over three games done in three pitches (three straight homers). The Rookie level "Hit one home run" took me about 45 minutes. It makes no sense lol
-
I don't mind them as a general rule but I try not to burn myself out on them when I do play. I finished the Parker Moments yesterday and have two Juan Marichal moments left. I have not even finished all of the moments from the original team affinity moments yet.
That said, multigame moments I am not a fan of as it is more of a pain to reset them. Total base moments are also a bane of my existence at times.

I actually enjoy them for the most part. I might be the only one, but I wish they brought back the 17 style super programs and filled them with a bunch of moments
The 17 super programs also made you keep changing up and playing with different players. That is back a little bit, but I still preferred that to what we have today.

The worst is when u have a fast runner on first and the pitcher keeps throwing over

No the worst is when you need an extra base hit and there is a slow runner on 1st that can't seem to make it to 3B on a gapper.

The worst is when u get hit by a pitch

Sorry duplicate post.

I agree with OP. Moments are easily my least favorite thing about this game for all of the reasons everyone has been stating for years now (pitchers that refuse to throw strikes, endless pickoff throws, cpu runners that block your base running, power hitting moments with non power hitting players, etc..). Yet SDS keeps adding more of them every year and making them even worse. Like now somehow pitching a 7 inning shutout is a “moment” or winning a 3 inning game is a “moment.”

'I Hate Moments.' He says...
Moments are nice, as in hanging with a wife or girlfriend, or playing The Show....
Sorry, went off topic.
Don't think I've seen an 'I love Moments' thread ever, so we all agree on this one. -

I'm with ya. I also look at it as a little practice, especially the situational moments.

Agreed, I thought the game in general was supposed to be fun and enjoyable, most of the bs these bozos put in the game is enraging and a f'in chore. I want to relax with games, not be f'in aggravated.

“But being aggravated is fun! It’s a challenge!” - SDS

And has anyone made these observations:
Despite difficulties on rookie or veteran, some pitchers velocity or control appears better than their ratings say they should, and your hitting seems tuned down sometimes. Like I hit way too many balls straight up the middle, or there isn't a perfect/perfect boost sometimes. I can't be the only one that notices these. -

I finish the moment in one attempt and I feel ‘at least that’s done.’
I finish the moment after 100 attempts and I feel ‘at least that’s done.’
I never feel like ‘wow, that was fun’ or like I accomplished something.
I only feel anger that I had to complete a moment(s) so I can get a card.
Playing the game is fun. Trying to replicate something sucks.
Yes, I know, I don’t have to play them, but they are a huge part of DD and it sucks.I don’t do them…..got like five days done this month because I kind of wanted Britton, but just couldn’t do it.
I don’t mind the hitting ones, but the pitching ones rip my soul out while I’m doing them.
