This is somewhat off topic, but I got an inside the park HR with Big Papi yesterday lol! It was in SF and it hit just right off the RF wall and bounced left and big boy made it all the way around the bases,

I knew all those big [censored] birds would eventually cause a distraction.

That would be more funny to me if something very similar hadn’t happened to me, twice, just yesterday.
First was a high pop up to second while I was giving Roberts a try, and he just stood there, with no catch animation activated, and the ball landed right next to him (I sold him after the game). The second was a fly to diamond defense Donnie Baseball and the [censored] thing nearly landed on his head. Again, no catch animation despite standing in the marker with little blue rings encircling him.
Is this a thing, now, or just weird luck?
