The frequency of the case of miss swing with good timing of directional hitting increased very widely, compared with that of previous SHOWs.
I concede that directional hitting is easier than zone hitting, so there should be some disadvantage.
    But this is too much!!
    Too often!
Did SDS decide to kill directional hitting users?
    Oh gee...

Directional and pure analog should not be allowed in any competitive online mode. Play with friends and casual fine. Ranked seasons, events and battle royale, you should be forced to Zone.

Why? hitting is about timing, and the quality of the hit should depend on the parameters of the batter, and the parameters and location of the pitch. Also, in pci magic mode, you can just put the marker below the strike zone in the middle, that unless the pitcher throws a very wide ball, you will ALWAYS hit it, no matter what. I think that is the pci mode which should not be allowed online.

Dont concede anything my friend, fellow directional hitter here! The problem is that due to the way the batting system was implemented, their perfect world is a world where nobody uses directional hitting. Let me explain:

the current batting system, does the following: when the pitcher releases the pitch, a time window is assigned to the batter to hit perfect, fair, poorly, or hit at all. So in reality, they display the proper animation according to what the decision of the batting system was. Either swing and a miss, foul, or any other hit.

So why is this a problem with directional hitting? Because, directional hitting was created on the premise that these are professional ballplayers, meaning that if your timing is good, on a candy broadway pitch, you should 99% of the times get a good hit, even a homer. But then ppl does not know how dangerous is throw the ball right down the pipe, and then the punishment with directional hitting would be frustrating every time. home run derby instead of a ball game.

With the PCI system, they can justify any weird pitch location, and batting system decision because "it was you who suck and did not put the crossair in the right position and pressed the swing button at the right time" 99% cause of it. I sincerely hope they don't keep doing this, for many reasons, which I wont get into here, this post is very long already!
