Your team overall exceeds event restrictions.

It’s been years with this. Please either eliminate overall restrictions on events or update your lineup/rotation generator so that it makes a team that does not have an overall rating that exceeds the event restrictions.

I dont think they necessarily need to generate a team that's under the limit, I would prefer to set the team myself from the best generated lineup. The real problem is that there isn't the ability to save an event lineup for future runs in the same event.

Surely SDS has looked into this but a way to save event lineups would be a great QOL addition.

It used to exist back in 17, but something about players getting upgraded so they were still in the lineup even if they didn't qualify, which would seem easy enough to fix but I guess not
