I actually don't know what he meant by cheesy. I did not think I was doing anything bad. Once I bunted against the shift (I learned that from other players online) and I did a sacrifice bunt (which turned into a hit) in extra innings to tie the game. He finally scored 2 in the 5th inning to win.
Is bunting cheesy? Those 2 bunts were my only hits so what am I supposed to do? I am not a good hitter.

Back in MLB The Show 19 I'd get nice messages like "good game", which I appreciated. This year the two messages I got were
- a guy asking me to give him home runs then he'd quit, turned out to be a scam
- Mr cheesy
I know there are nice players out there. They are answering my posts on this message board and offering advice.

Thanks! I've played a lot but haven't spent a lot of time here on the forum so I learn from what I see in games. Like bunting against the shift, which I considered brilliant.
I just got no hit again in the event. Back to normal.

I handle the bunt situations pretty well with the shift on. You just have to know how to pitch and when to expect it.

Yep. And generally I’d rather a power hitter get a single on a bunt into the shift than yack one. The next batter they are normally aggressive and I get a so or a dp

I've seen talk of some R2 thing that bugs people. I've definitely had many players hitting the R2 before every one of my pitches. And I've read on these forums of some Zen controller that cheats for you. I've had the odd suspicion of some opponents, either that or they were professional video gamers who can make mincemeat out of me. Either way I had no chance!

My issue with bunting is that it takes no skill. Sac bunting is okay but bunting for hits or to score someone, I don't agree with just for the simple fact that when you bunt you are just letting the computer do the work for you. If they actually made it where you had to work to get a bunt down then I would be okay with it.
Of course it takes skill it is both timing and release of triangle to deaden or push the bunt.

For as long as I have known, bunting was literally pressing triangle and then aiming with the stick which direction you want the ball to go. Since when did that change? Are you talking about pressing triangle after the pitcher releases the ball opposed to before?
