He hit for decent, but not great average, and the most HR's he ever hit in a year was 6 which is why his power is so low. His power is so low that even gapping the outfielders is hard in this game.
Interesting stat - He struck out fewer than 50 times in every season he played (19) and he walked more than he struck out in every season he played. Unfortunately, his style of hitting and play does not translate into the game very well.

I dont understand how Ozzie can get in the HOF with his defense alone and Andruw Jones who is one of the best defensive center fielders ever is held out cause he did not hit for a high enough average. He did decline kinda early, but his defense alone should get him in with his 400 plus homers.

The fact that Jones isn't and Harold freaking Baines is makes me physically ill. Jones is almost double career WAR, and like you said, one of the best defensive OFs ever...
It's like a case of "who you know".. Baines got in because of his relationship with Larussa who is on the HOF committee.. Jones has Bobby Cox, but Bobby probably fishes all day or something

Elite defender though. Not as good as Vizquel but elite nonetheless.

Omar Vizquel is a better defender than Ozzie Smith and if you think otherwise, you clearly didn't watch much baseball during their playing days.

Ozzie Smith isn't just the best defending SS of all-time. He's the best defender of all-time. And it's not even close.. he's wayyyy ahead of Omar.

What's the best bunting technique? I'm in the multi game moment vs LA and everything seems to be popped up or right down the 1b line and the fielder tags me. It was much easier to bunt on rookie

It's literally a universal opinion. Literally. Not just statistically.. Ozzie Smith is the great defender in history. Bbref or fangraphs agree. Omar isn't even top 5 SS....
DRS ranking?? That didn't exist lol. There is no DRS ranking.. why lie?
You can idolize him (I wouldn't now or Alomar lol) but all you have to do is a bit of research to learn quickly that it's foolish to say he's better than the man he'd even say he idolized as the defensive goat.
