Your Advice on a Collection Dilemma
-
Good morning ShowNation, I hope you are well -
I need some thoughts, opinion and/or advice.
I am currently sitting at 290k stubs, and I know I want to complete the Live Series collections. I have already completed the NLE, and most of the NL W and NL C with 1 or 2 AL teams as well.
Given the cards that I have in my NL Live Series collection, I could easily complete the entire National League -- thus getting Soriano.
Here is my dilemma: The cost of players and their value moving forward.
The two big-time players I am missing in the NL are Arenado and Bellinger. Arenado will probably not fluctuate too much, but Bellinger, since returning from injury has not been all to great. Though he isn't playing very well his value has been slowly going up over the past few days.
Question: Do I wait until this Fridays roster update to complete out the NL collections or go for it right now even though guys like Bellinger could see a decline?
Maybe theres another smart option that I have not considered.
Your comments are appreciated.

It’s two days so why not? Will only push back when you bench Soriano by 2 days.

Usually takes a while for injury-related downgrades to occur. I don't see Bellinger going down significantly for at least a month or two.

Soriano really isn't worth it?
Not that it matters, finishing the collection is more of an ego thing. This the longest and deepest into DD that I have ever gotten -- cranking out moments and reward program and completing all of the conquest maps. ...I literally wrote out all of the player achievement missions for TA S2 and cross them off as I go...I am have a problem.

He’s alright offline. Some people like him some don’t. He has a big hole in his swing inside.
Chippers worth doing it all though anyway.

I have been monitoring Bellinger as well - I would wait until Friday I believe they're dropping another Kitchen Sink Pack also , historically pack drops causes the market to crash.

If you have not finish TA1 and/or TA2 i would finish those off and see if you pull one of those cards you need in the free packs, If you do not have the time, I do not see Belinger going down anytime soon. The lowest I saw him drop this year was around 77k. I am not sure what he is at right now. I got him for 96k last month to finish off the NL west. Arenado I got for around 50 or 60k.

It’s up in the air man. I need to gets SDS weed guy number cause they on something
Take Jose Abreu. Look at his 3 year avg., he was MVP in 2020. Allstar in ‘18 and ‘19. Silver slugger in ‘18 and ‘19. AL RBI leader in ‘19 and ‘20 yet he went down on the first update and then they turn around and give him a diamond POTM card. WTF is that about. So with all that being said his LS should go diamond again next update
