What sucks is the POTM series is a chance for SDS to add to lineup diversity because all of these guys who would never make a “God Squad” with their live series. But many have tons of fans and many of which play this game and would put them in their lineups. This is their chance to really pump up the fan base of baseball and the game but “Oh he botches it!”
It's actually the opposite, did Buxton create lineup diversity, or did we just see every team with Buxton when he came out? Because the latter is the opposite of lineup diversity.

Program is fine. I love the way they do them now. Just wasnt a big Month for POTM. No one killed it really. I just did all the moments and missions to get everything except Semien. I think i am gonna just sell off my Topps Now cards for stubs instead of locking them in for him. I love Buxton, but I honestly wish i did the same last Month instead of locking them in.
-
When you end up having to collect 5 lightning cards for POTM Tatis from 20 you will be mad none of you did the program. Go ahead and think what you want, but if you really think about it Tatis, Bellinger, Paxton, and Buxton I guess were the only POTM programs ever that the cards were ever actually super useful, and back in 19 and previous, they were quadruple the price. Winker got did dirty and Gausman should have been included over Kluber, but the other cards were legitimately the best players of May other than Vlad Jr. , Tatis, and Castellanos Vlad Jr wasn't getting a card because they have never given two POTM cards to one guy in the same season, and Tatis would have been a 99, which we knew wasn't going to happen yet. Castellanos would be pushing a 99 card as well

SDS gave us a lot the first 2 months, so I can't complain.
I also think they made Buxton too good, to the point I can sell the Trout I pulled last night, so they weren't going to make Marcus God-like.
Maybe Players Of The Month are supposed to be Godly enough to Crack God squads, but I'm not mad that SDS had an off-month.
Maybe we should stop seeking perfection, and just see it as that, an off-month.
Turn a negative into a positive in the 42 cards some of us are missing and the selling of the TN cards as a few have said. -
Its funny the complaining about a free program that gives you options. You don’t have to use them if you don’t want to and yeah if you have “the” god quad, you can’t expect SDS to give a better 2B, 3B, CF and whatnot to replace Jackie/Chipper/Trout
Expectations are way too high for some of you. I’m sure the beginners of the game, struggling to put a team together are happy with getting a top 3 player at his position where the quality is very thin for basically free just for grinding

Very well said.
The first month with Buxton was an 'explosion,' that was so good, nothing could compare yet.
This was a firecracker.
It's like Pearl Jam & G & R. There is no way their 2nd album could top their debut. -

It's like Pearl Jam & G & R. There is no way their 2nd album could top their debut. It’s true though. Buxton was a great card when it came out. There wasn’t very many options in the outfield. But nowadays, you don’t see him in every lineup in RS anymore. I’d say it’s roughly 50/50. A month later, they came out with a ton of headliners/player programs/TA2. A major influx of new cards. We’re about 50 days into this game, they can’t flat out give away 99’s everytime.
This program requires grinding 5 moments a week for half the Topps cards, then grinding the program for the other half. Program gives you stubs/packs/5-6 monthly awards players for FREE!
I’m a Jays fan, I’m not gonna pump Semien’s tires in this program cause he doesn’t make my starting squad either but it’s still a great card that many others can use

To be fair, we got the yellow lightning bat skin.

Yes, but I liked Vitalogy, so I have high hopes for the June program.
I expect this to be the most controversial post on this thread.

Program was not great, but it did allow me to get 99 Jackie for 1/3 the stubs I'd have spent otherwise so I won't complain too much.
Their choices were odd to say the least. Meadows over Castellanos? Kluber over Gausman is particularly egregious, etc.

Usually the POTM lightning card is something that would benefit even the players who spend the most money.
Semien is "meh" at best. If you completed TA2, Jackie, the AL, or hell April Topps Now Ryan McMahon, you have a better 2nd basemen. Top things off with his horrible swing, and you get a mixed bag of "bad". This isn't a knock so much on the player, but that SDS could have done much more with Semien. I mean, come on, he had a .702 SLG for June and his power is this low? Very disappointed, if you give him 115/100 C 100/110 P with 80 fielding, hes passable.
Regarding the rest of the program, aside from pitching, I don't think anyone else makes even the most basic of rosters. Hell, Jessie Winker is actually worse than his LS version.
Free content, I know, but I feel like SDS held back alot with this one.
I said the same about Semien and people felt to attacked. Glad some people still look at things objectively.
Must suck being a grown [censored] man needing to feel validated on a sports video game forum lmfao
Why are you being so hostile towards me? I've noticed it before but chose to ignore it, assuming it was random. But it's not random because I'm taking notice of the pattern despite never giving you a reply. But you have my attention, so tell me what I did to you that made you so hostile towards me?

The first part of this is what people seem to miss. Yeah Buxton was great....because it was April. Most people were still working towards collections and not many cards were released yet.
He hits 8th for me and has like 1 HR. LS Yelich is significantly more clutch and once I get Trout I think Buxton is going to the Bench/off roster.

"This guy's swing is so trash."
-gamer on any player they are trash with, because it could not possibly be their fault, right?
-
I don't even want Semien. I just did it to get the 42 pack. Sold all my Topps cards to get stubs to invest. Hopefully a certain someone will go diamond Friday and I'll have 315 cards to QS.

You said “Semien is buns” basically just because he doesn’t make your god squad and had never used him more than moments or one online game at most. I think a lot of us are sick of the people who come on here and do that after every [censored] content drop. “Not for a god squad, he sucks.” Hell now it’s… “he’s not better than a CAP.” You also said Justin Turner at 2B was better.
Winker is better than his LS. He’s not just a platoon now. Again just because YOU use him as a platoon doesn’t make it bad for someone who wants to use him in their lineup to get a usable version.
Also there is a lot of people who like Semiens swing. Just stop making it sound like your OPINION is a one-all be-all. We all know everyone plays better or worse with certain cards so stop whining when it’s not a card for you.

I wasn't whining, I expressed my opinion and I stand by it. I do think Turner is better than Semien. I also do think that LS Winker is better than this one, but I only say that because you brought it up because I didn't say anything about that card. But if you disagree with my opinion, that's totally okay. No need to turn hostile towards me though, you could also just say "hey look man I disagree with your statement I actually like him a lot". And then I would say okay man cool, glad he works out for you. But people like you always seem to get offended for some reason, idk what it is. Just know that my thread about Semien didn't hurt anybody, so relax buddy.

I’m not offended. Again, just annoyed with the “not a god squad he’s buns” every single day there’s content. That’s not what opening a discussion is… that’s bashing a card (before even trying it) and saying it in way that your opinion is a fact.
The Winker comment was more for OP

You've missed the point. Several TA2 cards (Isaac Paredes, Robert Pauson) and Ryan McMahon are already better options at 2nd base even if you don't have the collections mentioned.
Semien should have been much better, this is the point I'm making. He out played the card they gave him, add to that they absolutely butchered Winker.
