My first 20 failures at this were made bearable by the fact I got my entry fee and a free pack from the first mini boss but just now the first boss only gave me a silver player and 250 stubs. Did they nerf the rewards or is this just a different "path" that I've never seen before?

Got to patch it if it benefits the player. They want us ripping the overpriced packs to get our 62 commons.

They had nerfed it anyway. No way that was on rookie. These dudes are as bad as EA.

Now now, no need for that kind of harsh treatment. NO ONE is as bad as EA

Rookie difficulty: where the cpu throws less than 50% strikes, of which most are dots.

I'm not talking about the hitting being nerfed, I'm talking about the rewards.

I haven’t done the first inning in a while but the divisional showdowns give you almost twice as many runs towards the final boss so it’s easier to get more rewards now. Not sure how this is bad.

First they nerfed difficulty and then they changed rewards.

I noticed that and the fact that they removed the "NL East Pitcher" and "NL East Position Player" type rounds

Why does everyone always only see the negative? They made it was easier by giving you more runs per completed blue challenge so the final boss will be much easier, because you'll have to score less runs. It used to be 1 run per challenge beaten, now you get 2 for most.

Because I still have to get past Max Scherzer in the middle round

It's good they didn't completely screw us over. However, changing a 1500 regular pack for one silver is pretty dirty.

I just looked at the first inning Showdown and you have to win the every mission up to and including the first boss in order to earn your entry stubs back.

In the Divisional Showdowns you have to win the the first six moments, including the first boss just to break even.

Now, add to that the fact that people were having a hard time with them and the fact that yesterday's patch made hitting harder (and PCIs smaller) and it just seems like a recipe in frustration for anyone who is not great at hitting already.

It doesn't excuse the fact that they actually have someone who is paid to look for things that are too much in our favor and change it back to house rules instead of just letting us have this 1 simple thing.

They literally just made it better

You can easily grind more runs
You get a guaranteed silver+ after the first boss

    Good lord the complaining...

I've been saying in multiple threads already that I disagree with that statement, I think the showdowns are a great way to get the FOTF relatively fast and easy. I personally don't think they overdid it with the difficulties and you make your stubs back most of the time, even after failure. Just my opinion though.
