What benefits do you see using Diamond outfielders over gold? Gold over silver? Silver over bronze?

Have they came out and said anything about this or what have you noticed playing?

I know with infielders, Diamond fielding eliminates errors on routine plays but I havent noticed a clear difference in the OF.

Do you value speed/reaction over Diamond/gold?

Matt Kemp for example... I have him paralleled to 90 fielding but I’d still rather have Finley patrol CF with gold fielding because of his speed and reaction being higher than Kemp’s, even though Kemp would have Diamond fielding in CF over his gold in LF/RF.

From what ive seen they get better animations and have more urgency getting the ball in on close plays. Like you say tho, I would prefer a guy with high speed and gold fielding over diamond fielding and average speed

Yeah, I feel like speed is the biggest factor in the OF.
Iv'e been rocking Pujols at 3B since like the first week the game came out with like 62 fielding and I have maybe one error with him. Idk.

hot take it means nothing. I think reaction is huge for outfielders. as I type this my diamond ss had a ball go through his legs, ive seen buxton have balls go by him and david ortiz andd frank thomas appear to be the greatest fielders of all time. Outside of speed running to a ball ive never been like wow thankful for diamond

I put diamond fielding Torii Hunter in left and the first game of ranked he played in was at Fenway, first ball hit to him was a jam shot that he got the scarecrow animation and let it drop in front of him

First base this year is last year’s 3B. Ludicrous

like I play ortiz knowing his offense should outweigh any errors but instead hes a lockdown defendder over there. Ive about lost it in the last event with justin turner looking like a vacuum meanwhile hes the most generic fielder. Also frank thomas has about 15 diving catches on line drives on me this year
