Dam this 42 event ain't no joke

Got home this evening to grind a dub or 2 in the event...went 0-3 and played guys with a combined record of somewhere around 104-24. I cant compete anymore with the WS guys( they hit everything and when fooled always foul it off ) and it seems like this event has drawn them out or im playing at the wrong time of day.
Either way, Im lickin my wounds from those beat downs but I ripped 5 TA packs, 3 standards , and a ballin & pulled Hader and Story...The video game gods showed some grace on this loser. Ah well , on to the work week. Cheers all.

I'll say this... HOF this year feels a bit more difficult than last year and aside from the contact swing on every pitch scrubs, the level of competition this year feels a bit more challenging as well.

The event is brutal. I got my 15 wins but it took 35 games

This event is way more competitive because of the rewards. That 42 pack at 15 wins is pretty much a 50k reward a min.
Add in that TA 2 is really the only main focus a good event grind will attract more players.
Overall I have done pretty good and was able to get my 15 and get the 42 pack sell Jackie for 61k and then two 15k diamond pulls and I can easily say it's been worth it

I'm gonna disagree on why it's more difficult. It's more difficult because people are hopping in games, seeing the tiny PCI, getting shut out and then saying they just won't play the event.
When it dropped I was facing some average players and last night I played a few games and about every team I played had a solid record.
Also I accidentally locked in the Frank Thomas I took at 15 wins...guess I'm going to need to go for Jackie now.

I don't mind the occasional hall of fame event so the better players can occasionally get a nice challenge from something other than ranked seasons, but as a below average player I avoid them like the plague. I don't mind losing, but swinging and missing at almost every pitch because I'm not good enough with the smaller PCI takes all of the fun out of it. If there's an event reward that I really want then I can always just buy it on the market.

How long does this current event last?

Event ends Friday. Went 20-10 over the weekend to get my 42 and Pee Wee and thankful to be done. Hardly ever used Contact Swing but did load up on guys with Contact ratings > 100 which is key. Diamond Miggy, Doby and Live Series Castellanos and Bogaerts (Inside Edge) were big for me.

So we only have until Friday to get those 42 packs!? Shouldn’t the event rewards remain the same but with new requirements?
