Non Chalant infielders and outfielders

A couple times in the last few games my opponent has scored runs off plays that just shouldn’t happen in real baseball. I had catchers get balls that passed them and casually throw them where I inputted. For instance I had a passed ball (went pass weiters a Diamond level defender) which I was cool with but what blew me was my opponent had a guy on second steal third just to round for home. I got the ball when we passed up third coming home and I pressed X to throw home and he underhand throws the ball from the back of the batting area. That doesn’t make any sense why did he not throw the ball fast to the pitcher covering. The guy scored with a 78 speed player. Completely blew me. Then the next couple innings another Diamond infielder )cal ripken) gets a ball from the outfield while the hitter is rounding second to go to third. He pauses before throwing the ball lazy to third like we at practice. I put the input in way before the ball got to him
So why is there no urgency, I just think the game should always have players awareness and urgency up when the ball is still in play because these are professionals who know the game and input should be reponsive based on my timing not whatever code is written -
Its almost like they forget they are supposed to do something.luckily i havent seen this often

I can explain a few of the instances where the response isn't instant and it's usually because they're waiting to throw the ball until their teammate covers the bag.
But you couldn't be more spot on. I've been saying for years that SDS has no idea how cut offs work and you can't convince me otherwise because 99% of the time they can't make a play because they take the throw wrong, they don't transition properly and there's no urgency in their throws even when you hit the line on the meter bar. -
