Fielder becomes dazed and confused camped under fly ball.

There’s been more than a few times where I’ve been camped under a fly ball when suddenly my fielder will break out of his animation and stand there cluelessly as the ball drops next to him.
Is there something I’m doing wrong that would cause this to happen? Or is this just something that will need to be patched at some point?

I haven't experienced this at all, that's strange. I don't think you'd be doing anything wrong.

It just a glitch in the game. I had one game where twice I got the OF lazily jogging to get a fly ball animation only to have the ball go over their glove. Only thing you can do is laugh and move on.

I've had that happen 4 or 5 times in the last few days, once with Buxton even (95 overall one) and no idea what causes it. They just stop moving like they are in the right spot, but then the ball falls right beside them. It's bizarre.

I get that sometimes when I switch fielders. For instance, yesterday a pop up behind home plate wanted my pitcher to field from the mound, I swapped to my catcher camped under it and it literally hit him in the head. Additionally, they need to fix the tag mechanics. I had a ball in the dirt and I had it camped at home my catcher didn't tag the runner. I can rant about fielding all day. Outfielders dropping balls that hit their gloves. Lol

On a more serious note tho this only happens to me when I stop just short of locking onto thr ball and since they aren't locked on they flail like an idiot when the ball drops near them

LOL yeah the tag mechanics are busted. I love watching my 2nd baseman hold his glove in the air to show he caught the ball while the runner slides in safely.
