Given the price I think Nick Castellanos and Anthony DeSclafani are good cards that can get increases in tier for the next update.

Nick Castellanos - The Show Ratings are 77/79 ConR/PowR, 72 vision, 47 disc. In 120 abs he is hitting .333/.403/.625 with 8 HRs. I think they can bump all four ratings up. Sell now is currently 2600.

Anthony DeSclafani - The Show Ratings are 75 H/9, 53 K/9, 69 BB/9, and 69 HR/9. He has given up 13 walks in 53 1/3 innings with 5 HRs. OBA is .186 and his K/9 8.1. I think 1-2 more good outings and he can go gold. John Means got a 4 point upgrade last time, DeSclafani is currently a 76 so it is possible to get that bump to gold. Sell now is currently 160.

Of course Jack Flaherty, Corbin Burnes, Mitch Haniger and Isiah Kiner-Falefa are great candidates for upgrades, but the market has priced a lot of the bump in. Let me know what you guys think.

I have invested in Lance Lynn. I believe he will go diamond.

Good catch. I think Lance Lynn has a good shot at going diamond too. I think his price is like 3200 sell now? Close to Flaherty.

I started investing him right after the last roster update he was at 1500 then . I bought some closer to 3000 though.

I think if "the market has priced a lot of the bump in", this is by definition NOT early investment ideas.

I hit last time on Kolten Wong and Freddy Peralta. I'm hoping for Kiner Falefa and Desclafani to go up. U also picked up a bunch of Carson Kelly's before the last update and still sitting on those and the John Means I have.

Did you read the post? That is why I went into details with Nick Castellanos and DeSclafani. I said the others are great candidates for upgrades but the market has priced those in.

Carson Kelly should go gold. Jesse Winker should too, but he is tough, because his defense rating holds him back. Likewise with Castellanos. His hitting can only make him so much better. The increase needs to come from another area. Yuli Gurriel is someone I would look at. 84 overall sitting between 1.5k and 2k. Has had a great start to the season. Tim Anderson is another one where I have no clue why he isn't a diamond.

Yea I know what you mean about defense holding Castellanos back. I was hesitant, but his splits against righties are almost identical as JD Martinez who has 92/90 ConR/PowR. I think he needs around +10/+10 to be diamond. Also, his fielding has been slightly above average this year too, but I don't know if SDS will touch it.

They need to get a little aggressive with Reyes. He's a 67 and a top 3 RP. I can see him getting a POTM card to fill the void as he continues to upgrade.

What I usually do is look at players with high fielding ratings because they will be the easiest to upgrade if they are hitting well. That's how I hit on Wong last update, doesn't take much for gold/diamond fielders to get a quick upgrade

Yea this is good. For pitchers I look at WAR since it is a good quick filter and then all the other stats and compare it to their current per 9 ratings in the game. I was able to get a bunch of Woodruff for 1200-1500 range.
