Liked him last year... Dunno if any year of his career warrants a 96 though...

It looks like it's based on 2012. He had an OPS of .764 and a WAR of 4.1. I have no idea how that is even remotely worthy of a 96 rating.

    Borderline diamond really...

Catcher attributes weighted way more than other positions. Look at LS Buster Posey. How could those numbers be an 84?

Sure but Posey this year is better than Wieters ever was... So.. point still stands

Let's compare to other C cards released

    Mike Piazza 91 (2nd half hero 2001)
OPS 1.035 for the 2nd half, and a WAR of 4.5 that season

Pudge Rodriguez 92 (Postseason hero 2003)
OPS of .970 that postseason, no WAR to add to that, but I imagine was stellar defensively.

    Edit:
    Jorge Posada 90 (2nd half hero 2007)
OPS: 1.061 for 2nd half of season, with a WAR of 5.4 that season.

Wieters doesn't hold up to those 3, let alone a rating 4-6 points higher.

Also most of Wieters numbers are gonna be defensive. I cannot imagine him being a diamond hitter.

Awards, signature, prime, and milestone cards have boosted attributes compared to the card types you listed above...

But seriously, a 96 rating for a .764 OPS and 4.1 WAR? Boosted is one thing, but let's make it somewhat realistic. If he was a 90 like Posada, people would still use the card.

I get that's it's boosted.. but Matt Wieters sucks... Total fail of a massively hyped prospect coming up.. He was supposed to be a multiple MVP catcher... He had 2 decent years and that's it... 96? Pfff.. 2012 wasn't even his best year lol.. 2011 was... That's my rant... I'll leave the room now
