Story vs Tatis Jr
-
Last year, Tatis Jr was my leadoff hitter all year and always in my lineup. This year, I haven't gotten Tatis Jr yet but I found a great replacement in Trevor Story. For a very equivalent player, with better plate vision and at half the cost in stubs, I think he's a steal for anyone looking for a major SS upgrade.
Just want to share. Anyone else agree that Story is a more cost effective Diamond SS?

No I think Tatis is way better, but I'd agree that Story is a nice budget option when he plays up against righties on IE.

plate vision doesn't matter

I put Story in the lineup knocking out TA innings and it is hard to take him out. Nice speed and power combo, decent defense and can play multiple positions.
-
I struggled with Tatis last year. Story is solid
-
Best budget SS is Seager imo.

I decided on Wander Franco over Tatis early because of his superior contact vs. R which is what you mostly face. His plate vision is also vastly better.
And he's a switch hitter.
If I was you, save up to take either ahead of Story. -

It does; less weak contacts
Absolutely. Higher the difficulty the smaller the PCI gets. Comes in handy to have guys with at least 60+ Plate Vision.

Story is really nice, like the fact he has some speed also. Definely a nice surprise.. Another option on the cheaper side is Machado, he is slow as hell, but rakes at the plate. Also has a great arm and seems to get to most balls hit to him.
