Sounds like user error to me. Baserunning is 100% in my control, only on the lazy flys and bloopers are they hesitant due to tagging up purposes, but other than that it's works perfect for me.

Umm, you couldn’t be more wrong, but thanks for participating:

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xkOOyf73QKk

Note: notice the L1 highlighted yellow and this is a ground ball up the middle with Ortiz on second.

I don't need to watch a video when i know how to use it and it works. Poor attempt at trying to get views on what is probabally an edited video or lacks information that gives whole story.

    But thanks for participating! 🙄

Dude hes 100% right though. I just played a game where Ronny Mauricio was on 2B and my hitter Larry Walker roped a double to the LF wall. Mauricio just stood there and wouldnt move. I spammed LB and it did nothing. This has been happening for me since 2017. Its not just me. Its every year. Whether baserunners resist, retreat on their own, or just freeze. Its not in the user's control and its most certainly not a user error. And as I also said, on the flipside, a runner on 3rd advances on their own with 1 out when the hit is a tapper to the pitcher and is thrown out easily at home. This game doesnt give you 100% control and its frustrating.

Dude is not 100% Right and niether are you. Youv'e been playing since 2017, I've been playing since 09' 10' the controls are the same now as they were back then. So yes when i use it and it works i'm pretty sure i would know if it was a bug or not. Yes things happen Occasionally, but majority is people need to learn how to use baserunning the right way. So therefore my money is on user error more so than a "Bug" or "Glitch" term that people use so loosely to describe thier experience.

I dont care if you have been playing since 1983. I know how to run bases and i know the controls. They don't do it. Its every year. So I dont know what version of the game you play but me and thousands of other users i see say the same i do every year in the forum or even on Youtube also can't be wrong. Ive been playing baseball video games since 1987. No game has been worse than the show in base running controls.

Does base running agility or baserunning aggressiveness on each card play a factor into any of this?

No cos it happens to any card on the field. Runners run back to the base on clear hits, dont advance even though its highlighted on the runner I have him running home. Ive had runners just freeze and stand in between bases on hit and runs or even regular hits they'll just stand there. The AI is horrible and the "assistance" is a joke. I want full control over the runners. I dont usually use LB because i like to advance runners manually and accordingly so i will choose which runner I want to go where. But they resist, retreat, or even sometimes advance on their own and get thrown out in the stupidest ways.

What is this issue? I have never used the LB/L1 to adv my runners. I am used to just flicking the stick and hitting the corresponding button to tell them which base to adv to or go back to? What am I missing? Am I doing something wrong? am I doing something right? ...There are horse shoes, but no horse socks...is anyone listening to me?

Isn't that what women wore to workout in the 80s?

I don’t think it’s a broken mechanic, it’s lag. I’ve had multiple times this happens and on a few the guy decides to run after the ball reaches the cutoff man. I’m pretty sure it’s a connection thing unfortunately.

No you are not missing anything your use is what i use with no issues. What it is these people (not sure if kids or lazy adults) but the scream bug or glitch for everything until someone makes a post how to use feature.

Because they want to be told how to play instead of figuring it out, and it messes with thier online cred if they admit they don't know what they are doing. It's all about trying to impress someone lol it's really really sad.
