So I played a WS game against LS DeGrom today and it was a joke. Seemed like his fastball was in the catchers glove before I could react. Sliders looked exactly the same out of his hand and were tough to pick up.

After the game I didn’t feel like playing another RS game so I go to Online Rated and look for a match with legend difficulty on hitting and pitching. End up facing DeGrom again and wow....looked like a beach ball...squared up everything and scored ten in the first two innings before the guy quit.

What’s the deal with the difference in these experiences. I can tell you the first World Series player I faced was a better player, but the Online Rated guy was still throwing me similar pitch sequences. The pitches broke differently...the ball looked bigger....didn’t feel like there was a hole in my pci and I was hitting with a wet noodle.

Is it a connection issue or is there momentum of some sort from game to game in RS?

Are the settings the same in online rated? I know it's set to competitive in RS but i am unsure with online rated? Might be the difference in how ball looks?

Legend in DD is the most difficult thing in the game.. online rated legend is not on the same level.

I have zero desire to play on legend so I’m kind of at a stand still if I get to WS

Yes. Connection issues have been in the game for several years. I have brought up the issue ad naseum. I posted in another thread a game I just had. I struck out 19 times and couldn't see, react or recognize pitches. Here's the kicker, I played pro ball. So I could hit 95 mph fastballs irl but can't hit 100 in a video game. I practice on legend usually against Gossage and am sometimes early. The pitch speeds I just saw on HOF were way faster than that. Also really enjoyed the lag after I swung. This is twice I have been in the 800's and dealt with this both times. Funny enough, haven't seen it in the 700's once even though that is HOF also.

It was so bad the first time, I again tried different things and it was so unenjoyable that I just tanked back down to 400's to use different cards and have fun at the game again. Well, here I am again. I will play some more this week and weekend but expect it to happen again.

Very few people believe there are connection issues in this game but very few people also have good internet.
