Created player is C (RTTS) but listed as SS in DD??

My RTTS player is a catcher that I have upgraded to an 89. The problem is when I go into diamond dynasty I only see him as a option to use as a SS. Has anybody else seen this and is there an easy way to adjust something to let me use him at C without having an out of position penalty?

I don’t know if this is true, but it seems like it goes with the first position on your archetype. I have a Slugger catcher, but it says his primary position is 1B.

Same here....catcher = 1B in DD
And you will likely have a huge fielding penalty if you play him at C in DD because it isn't even listed as a secondary position correct?
You can tell by taking him out of your lineup completely and then going on manage squad and attempt to sub your catcher out for him.
It will compare both and show you the penalties if any -

I have iron man at 3rd and it carries over to catcher secondary. People don't believe me but he catches perfectly. And i have no reason to lie.
