@locutusofburg
Here's the thing, I'm NOT that good and I still reach 650k because I play the game instead of crying about everything like a baby. I'm gonna guess you don't have a job but if you do try going to work 2 hours a day then tell your boss you want to get paid like the people who worked 40 hours and see what they say. -

1 big inning can get you 1k in XP.
Not even a big inning really. 1 HR with a guy on base basically does. I think I'm getting like 400 or so an inning pitching wise if I have a clean inning or a couple Ks.
That was with double xp...you’d get 450 striking out the side.

The lack of self awareness is beyond pathetic.
Added to my block list. You’re a gatekeeping troll.

Take what you're saying to anything else.
At jobs you don't get raises if you never get better just for putting in a number of hours.
Guys who suck don't get called up to the majors for a.number of innings.
There are ways for you to get the boss aside from the xp path, stop being a baby and play the game. Everything you do on here is whine about literally everything. Enjoy being a child who wants everything handed to him.ITS A [censored] VIDEO GAME.
You need to one, take the game less seriously, and two stop telling everyone else they need to be pros like you to get the BASELINE rewards. I bet you agreed with EA when they hid characters behind a 40 hour playtime unlock because people should spend tons of time practicing a game.
The rewards aren't there to be a participation trophy. They're there to be earned through playing the game or spending the stubs to get them. They're not hiding these guys behind unattainable things like throw 5 perfect games online in a 2 week span or something like that. They put them in a program to reward people who 1) put the time in to grind 2) are very good at the game and get a lot of XP because of their skill 3) people that want to spend money for a favorite player even if they don't have the time.
The point of making it this way is that not everyone has the same teams, not everyone has the best cards, and not everyone earns that reward. Just because a boss is in a program does not mean you're entitled to them. Hell they could've done things like EA does in HUT and make it to where every 2 weeks there's new master set cards out that you have to spend a truckload of gold collectibles on to get meaning you have to either play non-stop to get the coins for the collectibles or you have to dish out a ton of cash to make cards to trade in for them. Instead SDS says hey if you play the game a lot then here you go or if not you can always get this guy later in the market.
Stop acting like you're owed something just because you spent $60-$100 to buy the game and actually work to earn it or pay to get it. Everything in life is going to cost either time or money or both and just because it's a video game doesn't mean it's exempt from that.

Your problem is you are playing on rookie. You get less xp for lower difficulties.
I don't believe that is true, at least vs the cpu. Got a definitive statement to that affect somewhere?
-
@Dolenz_PSN
It has been like that in years past so I'm assuming it's the same this year. It definitely is for Pxp because if you look at the finish game screen it says all star 1.2X etc. -

I might be wrong but I thought you got a bit of a boost on xp, though that might only be on parallel xp?

The problem i have is that they turned it off without any warning mainly cause the EXP exploiters were using it to complete the 2nd inning program in a few hours. Now being that was prolly the reason for turning it off early cause my guess is either they would have turned it off after this weekend or Tues with next content drop of headliners.
The "exploits " or whatever you want to call them are not really new at least one of them the 2 controllers thing was featured in a youtube vid LAST year. Meaning if it worked last year and they did not FIX it then it's THERE fault not the players using it plain and simple. Also for those wondering i used it briefly last year but it's so mind numbing boring i stopped after maybe 3 to 5 games and never went back.
SDS learn to communicate better maybe the plan all along was to turn it off at the launch of 2nd inning and you forgot BUT again a warning like put a DATE and time on the graphic of ending at 12:00 / 3 FRI with debut of 2nd Inning Program or something but NO -- you cannot communicate with us and just mess with us and that is a FACT.

I mean they communicated that they would have the server issues pretty much fixed and that they would have the thank you bundle in the shop. They said all that via their 2nd inning program stream and talked on how they were going to continue to work on things at they pop up and encouraged players to continue to report bugs and errors. When I hear something like that along with a thank you bundle being put in stores that to me signals double xp is over because they've addressed the issue actively. Double xp was never intended to be a thing for that long and no matter if they officially announced an end or not people were going to whine and complain no matter what anyway.
These programs are not that hard to get 350k XP in within the time frame especially when they will likely add a showdown, 2 player programs, more in game missions, and another collection for XP as well before that program is done. The 650k part is not supposed to be easy to attain at all and if they had people glitching or manipulating XP then in my opinion they did the right thing to pull the plug on double xp. I mean I don't understand why people need to glitch or cheese or even cheat to play a game. It doesn't make you better, it just makes you look dumb and for what? To brag to your handful of buddies? To make your stream look great until you have to play in a real competition and get your [censored] smacked? Just play the game, stop acting entitled, and be happy you even got double xp for that long.

Dedicated users should hit 350k without an issue.
Hardcore users (or exploiters) will easily hit 650 in a week or less.
Average users will still get to 350k, but it might take longer than 2-3 weeks.
Breaking News... SDS releases content each inning that pushes the average user to 350k before the Inning is over.
People should spend less time complaining and contemplating negative outcomes. Take time away from the boards and go play the game for a week after content drop, then come back.
TBH- All I see is people complaining for the sake of complaining, because attempting to create conflict where none exists, is all you know.
I was at 70-80 hours in the first inning, and without double xp and the 100k at the end I would have been borderline to even get 350k.
You obviously don’t know how to prioritize your time to get XP
Since the 2nd inning program started, I’ve put maybe 10-15 hours into it and I’m at 150k
You complain every time you post, maybe if you focused that time towards the game you’d be further into the program
Please tell me how to “prioritize” how I play the game? Do you mean loading zero rated rosters and playing offline or doing the walk boosting?
I keep seeing these numbers, and I’m really beyond confused how to do it outside of boosting as even me playing the cpu on rookie and hitting 8 hr’s gets me 5k or so a game.
Haven’t looked into or exploited any type of “boosting” I would never waste my time to get something in a video game quicker than some random person I don’t know lol
What I mean is, once the new inning program drops, I aim to knock out any/all missions I possibly can (outside of the boss collection)
First night, I knocked out conquest, 7 event wins, the 21 runs mission with “x” series players, knocked out the stolen base mission and then did dailies
That coupled with just playing events and ranked season has me over 150k two days in
Idk what else you want my man, you keep complaining as if nothing will ever appease you.
-
Just one weekend of playing nothing but moments and conquests got me 130k, then collecting first inning bosses got me another 50k on top of that. Inning has barely even got started and I’m already more than halfway to 350k. I’m such a crappy player that I’ve literally never even played an online game at anything above all star, so if I can manage to level through these programs then better players really have no excuse, It’s not that difficult.

Just did a conquest game and won 4-0. That got me 1254xp, if you only played conquest it would take 518 three inning games to finish everything with no dropped games.
518? Wow.
At least you could get your players to Superfocker level 5 🤪 -
I am at 160k right now with modest playing and there still hasnt been the 2nd inning showdown or conquest maps yet. Nor collections and such.

Intentional walking, using the rosters of 99 pitcher vs 0 stat players spamming X to get strike outs, all still work for grinding xp, yes it will take twice as long, but you can pull up netflix, watch a movie, and get 30k xp without even looking at the game. The just made it slower, didn't take any of the brokenness away.
I wish they could ban boosters like you.,
I believe they did in 20, maybe even in 19. -
Player program 1-35k XP
Conquest 1-15k XP
Showdown- 35k XP
Player program 2- 35k XP
Conquest 2- 15k XP
Offline daily missions for 20 days- 40k XPTotal so far 175k. Halfway there.
The average conquest game is 1.5k XP. If you don't get that you played a bad game. There are roughly 6 strongholds and a steal fans per conquest map. 1.5k x 7 x 2 conquest maps. 21k while doing your conquest maps.
Total 196k
I don't do play vs CPU games but we will say 6k XP is the minimum for those? 208k after the two CPU games for the player program. We will say 300xp per showdown mission for argument sake X10 missions 3000. Every failed moment/ showdown etc. gets you more XP. If you can't get 150k XP through gameplay in the course of a month on top of the XP boosts you were simply not meant to get the boss -

2-3k? For a ranked game? I think it’s closer to 6-9k depending on how well you do. I get around 3-4K per conquest game. Also if I pitch in rtts, just those pitched innings and stats get about 3500k
Sorry we are all not as good as you, i typically only get about 2-3 k per cpu 9 inning game.

And 6k is certainly not the minimum vs cpu. I did a 19-1 win and got 5.8k.
Many of you greatly inflate the amounts of do you get from playing...or the other issue is XP is counting different for everyone.

I do think the "missing XP" gets counted eventually. I've had it twice this inning where I gained A small amount of XP scrolling through the menus, likely what I might have been missing from previous games. And no one is inflating the amounts of XP they are getting. Every pitch you take gets you XP. you trouncing the CPU on rookie swinging at every pitch is not going to get you as much as an 8-1 win on allstar where a player may have taken a walk or two and actually got into 2-2, 3-2 counts
-
Yes, taking pitches is the key to racking up xp vs. CPU.
