Worth it to lock in 120k+ of Stubs for POTM Bux?

I really only need him for his speed and defense, which you can get plenty in his 87 LS card (that will rise once he comes off the IL).

I could get a few LS diamonds with that for collections

Depends if they put out a huge Collection reward like they did the last few years. If you think you're going to want that player you'll need this TN cards.

Yeah, like above, he may be needed for the big collection award that comes in 2-3 months. Once that program comes out all the prices skyrocket for the topps now cards you will need.

Yeah maybe ill just hold on to them and not lock them in yet. I might not like the big collection and decide to sell them all

Depends on your team/needs. I personally did it cuz that card is beastly and he can be leveled up to a 99 so. If you are going to sell them, I'd sell them as soon as you know cuz the prices right now are as high as they'll ever be (unless as stated above there is a big collection reward).

Also, unless you're in a hurry to finish the LS Collection, and LS Diamond you buy now will eventually cost less.

where are you getting it costing 120k? unless you sold all your tops cards

I had Billy and currently have Finley and Lofton. Buxton is def worth it man

I used his TA card last year and did really good with him. Soon as I saw he was the last card I grinded it out to get him. I think he’s worth it. I have to use fast outfielders, the slow guys drive me crazy

Agreed. I'm currently rocking Ohtani, Trout and POTM Buxton in the OF.

Ohtani buxton and Griffey for me. Would love trout but I know I won’t get him from a pack

It's all luck dude. I haven't spent a single dollar extra on the game and have pulled a Trout and deGrom. Both from BIAH packs I have gotten just by playing.

His defence is pretty much as good as possible and the bat is good. I don’t steal but even I like the guy because people really need to worry about him which helps at the plate when he’s on.

He’s probably a 8.5/10 for me which is unfair because if he was a lefty he’d be a 9

Short term: Buxton is a fantastic OF option.
Long Term: He’s a perfect bench option for the extra inning rule.

Right now he’s good but He won’t even sniff a bench besides being a speed guy in a couple months. Once the mid 90s-99 hitters and pitchers get released his vision won’t hold up. Imo he’s strictly a “program” guy for when they release the big program. I’m just saving all my tops now until that’s released then either sell for maximum price or complete the POTM programs for a voucher.

That coin is way too tempting so I sold. Allowed me to finish off the AL LS set. He is an awesome card right now but he will be surpassed within a month. Trout, Rickey, Judge and Otahni are my rotation of OF. Also have the Buxton LS on the bench. Last year the reward for all the POTM cards was a Carlos Corasco would was terrible.

I would say hes more than just a speed guy. Hes an excellent defender as well. I like having guys like that for late game defensive changes as I have players like Alvarez and Ruth in the corners at this time.

This was my thinking, youre basically paying all the cost of the Topps Now cards for him, which may be around 120K or more. I like the card but I may prefer Billy Hamilton, better stealer, better arm, pretty similar defense, switch hitter for around 40-50k

Agreed, especially since these weak packs aren't producing jack s@#t

He is one of those guys like Seager that hit better than their stars indicate. I was using the LS that had 60s for contact before this came out and he was hitting .400 for me. I’m just shy of WS right now and everyone I play has him in their lineup.

It’s tough to find good speed/defense with useable offense in my opinion.
