I have all I need to lock in Buxton but wonder if I should sell the Topps Now players and use the stubs toward Acuna or another LS card as I’d like to eventually get NL East Glavine.

What are the downsides to passing up on Buxton? Am I giving up something later where Buxton might be worthwhile?

Buxton is a better overall and has better speed. I would just get him because he's a cool card and I like getting as many players as possible. Your choice though.

The lighting player of the months cards may be needed towards the big collection player. Last year was MVP Trout.

I didn't know that. That's also a reason I would get Buxton even if it takes you a minute for some people. I'm at like 34 points with no moments done right now.

Yes later on there will be a collection or collections that will need these Topps Now/POTM cards. I treat Live Series as a marathon not a race. Most of the LS cards get outclassed within months of the game's release. We are already seeing 95s as 2nd inning bosses. As more ppl get the LS done & the cards become more irrelevant the prices for them do go down. I do remember getting trout finally for like 200k last year. Sure it was 4 or 5 months into the game and at that point he didn't even crack my lineup but I enjoy the grind of collecting the sets.

Ronald Acuna is overall a better card in my opinion he also has the best quirks. Buxton is a good card but I prefer Acuna plus glavine might be the best pitcher in the game right now. The price for both will go down eventually so it's not like you can't get buxton later on. You have six months to worry about a collection including the monthly Awards. Glavine and Acuna is what I would go for. Acuna is my starting RF while Buxton is on my bench for now and will probably not be there too long.
