I think the majority of us know which 42 Series and even some of these Topps Now and Monthly Awards cards we've been digging seem to be well-known, at this point.

However, I haven't seen too many folks talking about Live Series cards that they're doing well with. For me, my early purchases as of Aroldis Chapman (who, at this point, I'd advise picking him up as your first Live Series diamond every year because he is rarely not useful) and I've also had a ton of success with J.T. Realmuto, so much so that I sold off Adley.

Haven't used him a ton but in two starts, I've pitched a shutout both times with Jacob deGrom online. Chris Sale is undefeated through four starts but those were Spring Training-level games I believe.

The obvious answer is Mike Trout but that's unsurprisingly so I'll name some others. Tatis, Acuña and Soto are unreal. I like Machado a lot when he plays up vs righties. J-Ram is always solid too.

    @BodamEscapePlan

I enjoy pitching with Trevor Bauer and Shane Bieber. Both cards have a cutter and slider which I find useful to tunnel off of their other pitches.

As for hitting Ronald Acuna Jr., Christian Yelich, and Freddie Freeman have some of my favorite swings and seem to hit the ball hard. I am batting close to .650 with Acuna and Yelich and just over .500 with Freeman all online in either Ranked or Events. My ranked rating isn't very high as im only in at a 566 rating, but I have a bunch of at bats in events. I also like Eugenio Suarez is great for a silver in BR.

I'd add Arenado to those listed above. But there is a huge gap between Trout and everyone else, especially after getting up there in the parallels!

I've had success with Bregman. And, I suck at hitting, lol

Just completed Nats and Padres so I'm excited to try Soto and Tatis

I know it's just a gold, but Springer has a great swing.. that new 2 handed follow through animation. Plus with IE, he's like 86/98 vs RHP, plays good defense and has decent speed. Great gold card

    JT, Laureano,Yordon Alvarez, Rosario,
Neris(cause even if i throw the split 10 times in a row the cpu still swings, hell, in a moment last year i knew it was coming and still swung at it....and had no chance)

Freddy Freeman (my only diamond pull of the year) might be the best hitter out of all the live series cards. That swing is butter and his quirks are amazing. Obviously Trout is amazing but Freddy has been outperforming him for me. Machado has also been surprisingly good, he was out of the choice diamond pack from the 1st inning. I was going to sell him but he is a gap hitting machine, problem is he is so slow.

Acuna, Tatis, Freeman, Trout are my obvious favorites. I’ve had Acuna and Freeman leveled to highest parallel for a while now. Working on Tatis and Trout. Trout is close. As far as pitching, DeGrom is a monster and I’ve got him leveled up all the way too. Machado early on was great but I don’t use him anymore since I have Chipper and I’m leveling Tatis and some of the 42 cards like Gallo. I could go rest of the year without buying any more cards and be fine. Unfortunately my OCD collecting habits just won’t allow me to do that. 😉

Does Machado’s card have the same swing as his finest from last year’s game (assuming that you have used both)?

Hitter wise - Trout, Trae Turner, Bellinger and Yelich/Soto. I prefer Yelich but one of these should be somewhere on your team, even if it’s just as a lefty bat.
It’s crazy how little I see trae turner being used. I used him as a gold even when I had the collection done. The man has 99 speed, more pop than his stats show and 4 position eligibility. My last game on HOF he went 3-4 with a sb, 2 HRs, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. In 78 PAs he’s batting .382, with 7 HRs and 8 SBs He should just be a plug and play at the top of everybody’s lineup.

Pitcher wise - DeGrom and the sleeper Devin Williams. In 8 games he has gone 10 IP with 11 Ks and given up 1 HR as his only ER with a 0.50 WHIP. With the way the game is where SP seem to just a hit a wall and start getting shelled he is often my first guy out of the pen to calm things down.

Yes he does, but this year's game is more forgivable with the "long swings" than it was in previous years. I never really had an issue with his swing in previous years either, but I know many people didn't like it. So yes the swing is the same but the game is not the same in regard to that same swing. If that makes sense.

Bellinger and Soto are my favorite hitters. Jd Martinez is a solid gold as well. Pulled Bauer and Liam Hendricks both are solid as well.

Agreed with Chapman. I love Sale and I enjoy Verlander as well. I'm sure if I bought Soto I'd him too but I'm saving for trout.

I hope he goes gold so I can stock up on him. Too good of a player to play this bad for a whole season. solid stub making opportunity once he gets put back to diamond.
