I'm about 325-350 bat.avg. online and I can't hit shnit with him ... I'm not that good but every time I square with him it's a liner straight to left or a pop left center and by pop I mean a shnitty hell of a pop ... But I'm 6/9 with othani 5 jacks one double !

Im in the same boat. No matter what Buxton im using, LS or POTM, i cant seem to hit anything with him. That Ohtani is a beast though. I only used him in 2 games but im 7-9 with 4 homeruns.

I probably should've edited my post to state that I'm a strictly offline player this year. (Minus maybe an event here and there).
Just wondering if he's worth locking in close to 120K when I can get 42 Grisham for less.

Im in the same boat. No matter what Buxton im using, LS or POTM, i cant seem to hit anything with him. That Ohtani is a beast though. I only used him in 2 games but im 7-9 with 4 homeruns.
But he run flat fast too .... Endurance is like 65 I guess so 2 max 3 games before a day off or he hit like Buxton lolll

He’s worth it to me just for the speed alone. His LS saved my [censored] numerous times at the plate and in the field. His POTM card is juiced on hitting stats. I haven’t used the potm card yet, I just got it tonight and it’s late. No way I’m playing online, way to tired

If you are strictly an offline player than he might not be worth it, selling those topps now cards and saving up for a trout might be a better play, but it depends on what you want to build your team around.

I’m locking in every single player I can get my hands on this year, knowing how MVP Trout was the best card last year. Hopefully this years collection reward is just as good if not better

Do I save for Trout or grab some pitchers? Other than some TN cards, which will be sold, my top two pitchers are LS Sale and MA Evoldi.
I have 110K now and if I sell off the TN, I could get to about 220-240K.
Still a ways from Trout, unless the 2st Inning Bosses start riding in price and I sell them.
But with 220 K I could get 42 Pedro and 42 Gibson (or wait to see if they release more packs) and possibly LS Bieber, Verlander, and Bauer. Plus maybe Darvish and Machado (and a few others) to finish off the Padres and get Hoffman.
I also need a lefty closer, so maybe Chapman.

How bad was the grind for Buxton? Haven’t had chance to look yet?

Do you need to do the Collection to get Buxton? I figured it was optional but when I add up everything else I'm only getting 98 out of 100 pts for Buxton. I only have 56 now but unless other missions appear when I'm closer looks like you have to do the Collection??

I meant Buxtons LS card. I mentioned a friend unlocked the POM, not me, waiting for the 2nd inning to drop for my XP to count.

So far 2 for 8 (against CPU) with 2 home runs. All of the other outs have been very hard-hit but unfortunately right at someone. Grind wasn't bad, I think I started an hour after the content dropped and I got Buxton about 6 hours later. I was doing a lot of conquest to complete the missions simultaneously and only did the moments that I absolutely had to. Thankfully the collection was straightforward as going through the rewards path gets the missing Topps Now cards.
