Pitches out of the zone
-
Does anyone else feel like pitches outside the zone are getting squared up too much? I'm not talking like painting the black but pitches that are 6-8 inches outside the zone and guys are somehow pulling balls that far outside for home runs. I'm all for rewarding good PCI but at the same time that seems excessive. If a guy chases that far out there should be a contact and vision penalty and at best the guy maybe hits a blooper but shouldn't be routinely squaring that pitch up.
It makes it extremely hard to feel rewarded pitching wise when you can make great pitches like that only to have it go sailing when there should be next to no way possible that it should. This has honestly been my one and only complaint for online play.

I've had a few games where balls in the dirt are getting knocked out of the park. Earlier tonight, I threw a ball about a foot above the zone and about a foot outside, and it got taken deep. There have been a number of pitches that shouldn't have gotten squared up that do. It gets pretty frustrating when you can't use someone's aggression against them. I feel like this year I've lost to people who swing at absolutely everything more often than not, and end up jacking a sinker that ends up underground over the fence.

I've been saying this for the past few years that some pitches just shouldn't be able to be squared up simply because they're way out of the zone, gets really annoying when you drop in an 0-2 change or a 0-2 fastball neck high and it gets smacked for a perfect-perfect

One of the first event games I played closer to launch gave me headaches. At one particular at bat dude hit a 3-run bomb on a curve ball inside by about 6 inches and the pci wasn't even touching the ball.

This bothers me less than what Warped is describing. If my opponent can get his pci on a pitch with good timing, sure, there are laws of physics to consider, but it bugs me less than the ones where the pci is barely or not touching the ball.
Sometimes these are 11’s in the hit analysis, which really makes me scratch my head.

In real life every batter has pitches he can get to well in certain spots outside the zone. The problem is, it’s not represented on an individual basis in this game. Definitely could use some more examination on this.
