I just want to say thank you to SDS for all the great improvements to the game, especially dropping at a time that I really need a distraction. I love Showdown! It's a fun addition! I never really played Events since my internet is [censored], but now I feel like there is something different for an offline player like myself. Between Showdown and Conquest, I've barely even explored the rest of the content, which I'm excited to do.

I second that thank you. The game play is much improved over last years version. I play franchise and I incorporate the fantasy draft. Very happy with the game so far. Please just fix the throwing errors. Hats off to SDS!!

Please tell me what aspects of the gameplay you think have improved. Serious question.

I feel there is more balance hitting as a right hander, against right handed pitchers and my ability to hit to left or right fields is much improved over last year. The pitch speed is a bit slower which I acknowledge and can be improved. Fielding - I use pure analog - last year and years prior, I would turn the throw meter off, since throws would go all over the place. This year they actually work. Though the throwing error frequency issue hopefully will be fixed soon (Hunter Dozier had 4 errors in one inning on routine ground balls in one game I played). Pitching - improved ability to pitch to corners of home plate. There is some choppiness graphically at times so hopefully future patches will tweak these.

Hitting is atrocious otherwise game is great like always.

i'm new to all this but is the hitting change only for online? or does it also affect offline ?

and i take it there is no way to revert the patch? or choose a different patch in the game like EA lets you in NHL?
