Stop with the cancel culture BS, He hasn’t been found guilty in a court of law so just relax already. It’s just a card in a game If you’re that concerned don’t use the card.
i mean he's essentially banned by the MLB so why should he be in an MLB game?
That's a fair point, I just happen to disagree with it. I'd love to have Pete Rose in game too, was a monster on field, his gambling addiction shouldn't cancel what he did on field. I feel the same about Alomar.
thankfully rose has rehabbed his image and hopefully in the future he gets into the HOF

He was found guilty by the people who provision the cards to MLB The Show to use. I'm not asking him to be struck from the history books, I'm asking the game developers to follow suit with the people who gave him rights to his card to begin with.
While I agree something should probably be done about Alomar in the game, why do we act like MLB calls all the shots for this game? They pushed for it to be cross platform and gamepass by extension. MLB gives them the license, but SDS calls all the shots on gameplay, content, and which players they acquire the rights to.
MLB and MLBPA essentially holds all the cards. technically if SDS does something that isnt in line with MLB and the MLBPA that could sour the relationship and lose the license for sds. Obviously this is the most extreme case but whoever holds the rights to the players has the power.
And they won't stop giving them the license unless something extreme happens. You know as well as I do they would have pulled the license by now if they thought someone else would do a better job. I bet you the MLB couldn't care less how this game performs. They were likely just expanding it to Xbox as a marketing attempt for baseball as a whole. There wasn't a single comment about MLB pulling the license in any way until the Xbox crowd joined in. I am not supporting what Alomar allegedly did in the slightest, but this is entirely SDS' call
this is why I used an extreme example to convey a point but the general idea is that MLB can strong arm SDS if they wanted to. If MLB doesnt want a person/player to be associated with the MLB branding they have every right to have SDS remove the player.

I just read the Jays are removing his number and banner from Skydome so that's a pretty solid statement.

I’m guessing the banner will be removed in the game at some point.

I think when he was with Baltimore, yeah. When the Orioles came to Toronto so it was in front of his old fans. I think I was watching that game on TV.

Imagine needing a safe space because a card was in your inventory. You don't have to use it though and it can be buried by getting better cards...
Seriously no one even knows what he allegedly did so who the hell are we to judge?
I didn’t say safe space? We have pride flags available in custom stadiums, Jackie Robinson on the cover and a huge banner in MLB 20 for a month commemorating BLM. I’m asking all movements to be equally supported.
What movement is this supporting? The "lets jump to conclusions and judge someone with absolutely no facts about the situation" movement? Sexual misconduct can mean anything from telling a woman she looks nice today to unwanted penetration. Pretty sure its not the latter because he would be getting arrested right now. He's not being removed from the MLB HOF as per their statement so i think its safe to say that it was nothing violent. Again, who are we to judge? If you dont wanna use the card, dont. There are better 2B in here so buy them up and bury him. You literally dont have to see this card at all unless you intend to go to your inventory every morning to stare at it over a cup of coffee.
Matt Gaetz has entered the conversation.
Hey, how you doing, Matt? Just a heads up....people here like to play judge jury and executioner without knowing any facts. But im sure you already knew that.

It’s an even better thing his disgusting actions are being exposed to the point his personal life will have him removed from a game that has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Ty Cobb did much worse. Pretending Roberto Alomar, Jr didn't exist... what are you going to do for the 1992 Blue Jays? Have a random guy in his spot? Pretend he never existed?
-
It’s a video game, if you don’t like him don’t use him. Let’s all get stronger as people, these things don’t have to crumble us to our cores. It’s a video game.
-
Well, sucks for you since you won't be able to watch the 1991 or 1992 Blue Jays World Series championships anymore.
No one pretends OJ Simpson wasn't a member of the Buffalo Bills.
-
Well if it'd a sign of things they removed him from the main screen when it shows rewards for daily moments. He is still in the reward path it just doesn't display him on the main page anymore with Giambi

Can you tell me anything about these "disgusting actions" because the Blue Jays and MLB havent said anything. What exactly did he do?

You don't have to honor him, but pretending he doesn't exist? Removing all traces?
Sorry, sports don't work that way, especially team sports.
What are you going to do when playing as the 1991 Blue Jays?

But the most outrageous incident might be what happened more than a century ago today. While playing against the Highlanders in New York, Cobb was so incensed by remarks from a heckler named Claude Lucker that he charged into the stands and attacked the man. As Cobb began beating and stomping the man with those razor-sharp cleats that had punished so many basemen, a crew of his teammates held people at bay. Some in the crowd protested, since Lucker had lost all of one hand and most of the other in an industrial accident, and couldn't defend himself with his fists. A cry went up: “Cobb, that man has no hands!” Cobb reportedly yelled back in a psychotic rage, “I don’t care if he got no feet!” Protected by his teammates, the beating went on until a cop and an umpire led Cobb away.
