I'm actually a big fan of the perfect perfect sound change, it was way over the top last year. Have you ever perfectly squared up a baseball? The feeling of lightness is almost perfectly replicated.

My guess is you've not spent much time @ a ball game. You can identify the correct sound by watching a game now since the staduims are not so full. The sound of a squared up ball is loud and distinct. More like last years version.

I’ve gotten used to the sound change (although I really liked the sound from last year) but at least turn it up. You can barely hear it.

Considering I played minor league ball for years, I would say I've spent my fair share.

I like the new sound a lot but agree that it could definitely be louder.

I am of direct opposition here. I loved PP sound in 20, and was disappointed hearing it in 21 lol

You should know what a squarely hit ball sounds like then - I'm not hear to argue with anyone. I played as well - I know what the sound of a crushed ball sounds like. It's DEFINATELY NOT the muffed sound in TheShow21...

For those without play experience - you don't need it, all you need to do is listen to the sounds of highlights on MLB Network. A crushed ball has a disticnt sound that is more like TheShow20

More importantly, fix PP success rate.

PP fly balls with power hitters and no wind? In 21, that's warning track stuff. I've actually started checking game logs to see outcomes of PP hits (they track them), and the average success rate is below 50%. That's a massive change from last year.

I'd trust this guy. Also as I said in another thread, Josh Bell hit a well-struck ball against the Jays the other day and it sounded exactly like the P/P sound in 21.

I'm actually okay with PP result not being a HR too often. I think the PP feature improved over the course of last year. I understand the frustration of PP going to warning track, too often, for a Power hitter.

I think it sounds fine, but it would be cool if there were varying sounds for a PP depending on exit velo, launch angle and whatnot. A squared up ball coming off the bat of guys like Judge, Vlad Jr etc. are way louder than others.

It's a small thing, but I really do miss that sound. Realistic or not, it was so satisfying.

I Still prefer the loud bat crack from years past but I’ve come around to the new sound.

I wish they would do an old school squared up besr aluminum bat unlockable audio. That sound was so unreal, when you got it clean it had a completely different sound than normal. It was like a quick loud click

When did the sound change? I just noticed yesterday. I was in a slump so who knows how long it had been since I hit P/P.

It sounds good with PS headset and also feels really good on PS5 dual sense when you hit PP…I think it would be sick if they added the sound of a PP through the PS controllers speaker that would just give it an even more authentic sound & feel
