I want them to actually put work into RTTS. Gives us a true experience that makes it feel like we are controlling a major league player. Give our player a personality trait that can change depending on our actions. Then interviews can matter. Give us an agent who actually does something useful. Like get us endorsement deals. You could have some diamond gear that can only be unlocked by signing with X company and doing challenges. Get rid of this dumb podcast thing. It's so uninteresting and pointless. Instead how about an actually story mode that can play out during our time in the minors. They are such a dull and boring grind. Nobody likes to play those games. This would at least add something to it. And also I'd love to see a Co Op mode for RTTS. For example my buddy and I go through pre draft work outs together, get drafted, he plays on his team and I play on mine. It would be fun to face each other when our teams play. Or compete for season awards against each other.
I'd also like to see them update franchise and make it worth playing again.
They should also add some Online RTTS thing like where u match up with other people and play a 9v9 or a sandlot type mode
I keep seeing people suggest this. Personally I think it's a bad idea. In theory it sounds fun. But think about it. You're playing say RF. You get a ball hit to you what, a few times a game? Get a few bats in. Most of the time you're going to be sitting there watching.
yh i thought about this problem so i thought about it could be like wiffle ball 3v3 or a 5v5 or 7v7 with CPU pitchers and catchers
Yeah I'm sure they could do something to make it work. It would be fun for sure. But first and foremost, they need to fix RTTS. They wanna copy NBA2k. Start with it's career mode first.

Not sure if there's a thread specifically for mlb 22 DD but a couple things I'd like to see in creating your team is:

Making logos/patches for sleeves like real mlb teams have something on their sleeves

Not sure how it'd work but maybe making your own Stance socks???
And also, I don't have a ps5(yet, lol) but in the create a stadium mode, if it's not there already, maybe allowing us to put a logo of some kind behind home.
Just some things I've thought about the last month or so while playing.

Better field management on RTTS. When I have a hitting streak in double digits my manager benches me, but then brings me in to pinch hit in the 8th inning of a game we are trailing by 9 runs in? How about if I am not in the starting lineup being brought in as a defensive replacement late in game, or a double switch, or more realistically, other than Dusty Baker, who the heck benches a guy with a 10 game hitting streak?
If I need to be benched due to stamina (which I am in the upper 80's in) then give me the dang game off already.
I've got an even more absurd example. I was playing RTTS with a starting pitcher earlier this year, and in one game the manager pulled me after 8 2/3 innings when my team was up 13-1.

Let us mix and match jersey, pants and hats of teams. Not mix with other teams, but amongst same team. Like Rangers jersey from 95 with Rangers pants or hat from 2020 ect.

Please let me pick my difficulity during RS. Sorry if its been mentioned on this before.
I do not care about making WS, i wont make it.
I dont want to have to tank games and waste 30 minutes of my life quitting out to get back to 450.
I want to play AS only whilst online.
Others may want to chose HoF or Legend, but please give us the choice. Change the reward structure if you want, but this is the mode i love to play.

Here is my insights.. A career mode with more in-depth details would be awesome, like the better you get the more fans you get, maybe you see them with your jersey, draft day should be more special, all-star games Instead of having the Rockies all star logo in the Mets stadium the Mets can have their own if they host the RTTS all star game, and maybe make it more personal. Interactions between players and your player would be more fun to have like maybe if you have a rival they can charge the mound or if you hit your rival you get suspended for a game. Or have more freedom with the announcers and they have much more to say than what they say already. Or maybe free agency, if you are a big star or two way player is more fun to see teams battle contracts and see that your person is actually a valued player, and lastly next year like past games more than one RTTS player instead of having one two way, which is still fun and should be a option, or maybe it is already a option and I am confused lol.. all these are vague suggestions, I love the show I have been playing since 2015, plus it is my first time on a forum so i hope San Diego studios can at least make RTTS more realistic and fun and have way more options in 22!

I would like to more legends in the game. For instance if say Cy young retires from franchise, then maybe Jim Rice would be entered into the game Ly ty Cobb.
Also more freedom and more of a higher salary cap to play with. I can’t tell you how many seasons I run into deficit in my salary.
Also a complete records for season and career to beat and set. For both position player and pitchers just like in ASB ‘05.
And more realistic hair in the creative mode or rather more options
As well as a more detailed names in the creative mode. For instance Dennis Eckersley and Fergie Jenkins is either in the game or in the animation in creative mode but no sound mode for the names. Maybe open up a baseball encyclopedia and scroll through the names and put those names into the game.

I want the hitting engine to not be absolutely terrible . I want to feel powerful at the plate with Pujols, babe , and Griffey . I want to feel like I can BLAST a HR if the pitcher makes a mistake . I want to STOP playing people who cheese bunt for hits because it’s a legit strategy this year , I want to STOP hearing about glitch swings and seeing tra Turner constantly have more HR then every other player on teams I play . I want contact hitters to hit singles and doubles . I want to have my 99 speed guy beat out the 6 speed guy to first on a infield hit . I want to stop having by best hitter batting .230 ! And most of all , I WANT TO STOP SEEING THE [censored] BUNT SHUFFLE !

I'd like the ability to reset your created player's stats, should you decide to restart Road To The Show for whatever reason.

I would like to see more things that makes the game realistic and fun. Maybe something like more stuff like the Miguel Cabrera milestone card just cool things like that more options for stadium creator and some goofy cards for dd and maybe even charging the mound
