Is broken again. I got one that was only 90mph off the bat. Routine fly ball out. A perfect ball should not be only 90 off the bat. I dont care if its a pitcher. These are grown men. Makes no sense. "Competitive" mode where stick zkills reign supreme. Yea right!

Who was the batter?

Why would that matter. My point was than ANY batter perfectly squaring up a ball would produce higherbexit velocity in real life. Especially on a heater

Can't say anything about your experience, sorry to hear of this, but my p/p experience has been pretty nice. I've made a lot of outs on p/p (more than last year) but the feel of it and the new sound, I actually really dig. Exit velo has been great on them, so much so that I can't believe some of the balls are fielded for outs, which is I suppose the opposite of the problem you're reporting.

The Average MLB exit velocity is 89 MPH, 91 MPH is top 40, anything above 92 is top 15.
Not everyone can launch 100mph exit velocity even on a perfect swing.
David fletcher for the angels is near the top in batting avg last couple years but his avg exit velocity its 83.9 mph, even if he squares one up perfectly hes probably not crushing it over 90 mph.The point being you can make perfect contact and not crush the ball, they are separate events based on skill, size, swing and power. A perfectly timed swing can still result in outs, its there in the math of baseball to prove it, not every ball will find a gap or clear the wall and some will go right at people its just the way she goes.
Stanton hit a ball 120mph and didnt hit a home run this week and if the defense hadnt shifted it would have been right at the 2nd baseman for an out, a perfectly hit ball launched 120mph for an out, its possible.Pp is not broken, its just not a guaranteed home run like people expect it to be.

Not saying that’s it’s broken but i have had multiple pp fly balls be caught before the warning track even in my limited amount of play

I didnt expect a home run. I expect a higher velocity. Stop trying to interpret what was stated clear cut. Fletcher doesn't barrell up many balls. Just makes a lot of contact. Go look it up. His couple of barrels were of a much higher exit velo. Do you guys watch baseball or just play MLB The Show?

My take on P/P this year is for me it feels like the window is a bit larger for getting P/P but the percentage of a base hit is also a bit lower.

Honestly its a flawed system to be in a video game. Too many variables go into a 'perfect' hit ball for the game to register.
They should just remove it from the feedback because i think its the word 'perfect' causing the problems.
Just tell us if we are early, late or 'on time' dont use the word perfect, along with the visual feedback of the swing plane and pci placement should be enough to gage where to correct timing wise. 'On time' is a more baseball related than 'perfect' and should calm some of the problems with 'perfect, perfect' feedback.

I watch a ton of baseball and my point was I dont think every pp hit should result in a top end result like everyone is stanton or judge, fletcher was top of head reference but hes in the bottom 1 percent in ev but still gets tons of hits. Luis arreaz of the twins is a better example for this because hes in the 68 percentile in avg ev. He has a sweet spot percentage is around 43% and still carries a avg ev of 87.5, still not 90mph. Smaller contact guys won't create the velo big guys like Stanton and judge will and especially a pitcher with contact rating under 50 probably shouldnt be launching balls at a top 15 percentile. I understand they are grown men but 90+mph velo is still extremely difficult.

I just dont want the gameplay to be messed with to much. Servers have been awful but when i get to play I think this years gameplay has been very good and feels balanced and fun.
Im not trying to bash on anyone, i definitely think the pp system needs some tweaks but more in feedback and info then actual performance in game.

Sorry but Dee Gordon can P-P or "square up" 100 pitches in a row and I will bet you any amount of money that 10 AT THE MOST will be 90+ off his bat.............
