Showdown is extremely frustrating!! It pisses me off to.
Pause it and calm yourself down then continue. That works for me, hope it helps you. -

Stevie Wonder can beat them this year

Extremely frustrating I love it how you make perfect contact with the ball on the first pitch it’s a pop-up or ground out against Venezuela total garbage.

Always love it when people call the umpires refs.... smh. Look up the videos to beat showdowns. Their cake.

I've had a few close calls, but overall I haven't found them very difficult this year. I think I'm 10/11 in team affinity showdowns, and I beat the 1st inning showdown on my first try. Some people will tell you to skip to the final boss to save time since it's easy, but I prefer to just play the missions. I'd rather start with better hitters and perks along with more runs in case I run into a series of line outs and bad luck.

Trying to figure out where people are having problems here. Yes, there are sometimes when the showdown feels rigged, but overall they are somewhat easy. I've only lost a handful of TA showdowns this year, and finished the 1st inning on my first try as well. Load up on power hitters for the TA ones, and figure out the pattern. Usually the pitcher starts to throw the ball down the middle after the first couple of outs.

Sinker baller — Camp low part of strike zone
Fastball as primary — camp upper part.I do agree that final showdown has tuned up fielding, for sure. Knock on wood I’m 5 for 5 but I went in down 6(rough mission round) and barely made it yesterday.
Perks — exit velocity diamonds. I also use the wake up one, when I get it
Back to camping. That counts for 2 strikes, especially with a runner at first. U start chasing balls u hit into a DP.

'Waist' for waste and 'refs' for umps.
Boggles the mind how many ignore the edit feature. Once you send your post, it's available. Just sayin'

I beat it and it is a pain in the [censored]. I am waiting for SDS to reach out to my ticket and give credit since I got a server error when the final showdown ended.
That said, I’m not sure it is worth the 35k xp this year. I think last year was 75 program points towards 300 which was over a quarter...now it is only 10%.

Agree with this though dps ARE jacked up. Everything is a dp in showdown.
The other issue got not great players is the base running glitch. We are given advice to be patient and work till two strikes which leads to outs early, but now that baserunners disappear when they have to hit it’s a new level of frustration.
