LS Collection Incentive

I get why they didn't add the xp for the collections and I do love the end game cards. My perspective was last year I collected things more than sold because I wanted to progress the xp path. This year I honestly don't feel a huge need to collect early so im just selling pretty much everything except Dodgers because I want Gagne and they are my team. I would have liked to see some more standard packs or like TA packs in the LS collection rewards for 10 etc.

There's definitely some good cards there. I don't think people are giving the Glavine or Soriano the credit they deserve. Those are end game cards. Same with Ortiz and Chipper. The Steve Finley is cracked out also. Go look again and take parralel into consideration. There are some awesome cards that will play well all year.. Plus its fun haha. Thats all I got
Yes, I mentioned those cards as exceptions. But most people arent gonna be able to get those cards anytime soon. Just for collecting part of teams, 10, 20 cards ect you got XP last year. So even if you didnt care for the Gold Ivan Rodriguez , or Bert Blyleven cards that you probably wouldnt ever use competitively, you still got something for them. Thats is all I meant.

How do you get Steve finely?

I understand the intent.last year ppl got the rewards from repeating showdown and doin exchanges, this year you get the rewards by playing baseball.
no xp for collections ties into that, the stubs could have been higher though.but thats okay we are just at the beginning,i think there is gonna be a lot of surprises this year. -

I am not complaining about the overall layout of the game here at the beginning. I just cannot find a reason to collect LS, when all the TA 42 cards are free and fast for me. I usually dive right into trying to do LS collections, usually locking in 30 of each team and finishing the cheaper ones in the first couple weeks. looks like this year I will take a bit longer for that lol.

I am also finding lack of motivation to do the collections.

I think they made the cards a little weaker than past years so there would be plenty of room for growth, and they hoped that would motivate us to really embrace the new parallel XP system. If you add four or five tiers of attributes, a lot of these cards start looking more comparable to what we're used to from collection rewards.

Collection rewards are pretty good. Anything else rewards wise is mostly dogshit so far though
-
Ortiz and Soriano are definitely fantastic cards... Chipper I'm usually great with, but has been avg for me.. Glavine is good, but against solid players/patient players can be rocked... Finley I haven't been able to hit well with.. Banks is a solid all around SS.. And don't forget posada who's is a great c.... They aren't end game, although soriano will be in my lineup for awhile... Trout has been a beast this year and usually I don't hit well with him..

I think that is why they picked the players to put as the rewards. The big new guys will be included some where else down the road. The crazy amount of cards already in this game 1 week in has me looking at that legends and flashback collection as being way more expanded this year

With the ability to parallel guys, you'll be using diamonds in events with golds and those parallels won't count against your OVR cap.
You'll use these lower end cards more than years past.
-
I have 2 gold 84 at Parallel 2 who are big parts of my event squad. It's such a game changer for card longevity this year
