Is this possible? Play a full season with Legends team?

Total newb,,.bought this game to play a FULL SEASON with ALL THE LEGENDS...is this not possible?

If you go to roster management from home page all the legends are listed on made up teams or free agents. You can move them to real teams or start a franchise with them listed as free agents.

It’s very annoying so be careful when using them as free agents because different versions of same player are there. I do the same thing but have to add each player to their team then I start fantasy draft with no free agent legends
