I am offline only and wondered why anytime I saw streamers playing they were in minor league parks.

And yeah, the lag has not improved with MLB parks this year. Just pick minor league parks - they feel more intimate anyway!
No, I paid $850 for a next gen console specifically so I could be blinded by that glare! (also to see that train in 4k, woo woo!)

one of the benefits of snagging a PS5 How can you tell if you matchup with a next gen or current gen opponent?
The only way to tell would be if you were next gen and you picked a created stadium to play in. Those stadiums are only available to play online for next gen people.

I've been playing the show since 05. Never once did I hear of this Shippit Stadium thing. Good players can play wherever.

You’re playing at the wrong time in the wrong month if you’re getting shadows.
It’s because online, people use MiLB stadiums to avoid lag and Shippet to pad their stats

I always play in October, at 7 pm and overcast so I can see the ball.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate you spending $500+ to be part of Sony’s PS5 Beta test. I’ll get one next year after the bugs are worked out.
Till then, turn off cross play if you insist on playing in mlb parks. Do you not have any clue on how network connections work? If 1 player is lagging, both players on the connection are effected.
This is not correct. MLB stadiums don't lag because of connection on last gen, it's because of graphics and processing capabilities of the hardware. I play all my games online and offline in MLB stadiums on PS5 and I've yet to see even a single dropped frame.
