I'm coming from The Show 2019 so I apologize if this was addressed in 2020.

In 2019, at the pause menu during a game, you could select either the pitcher or the batter right on the main pause screen, and then choose to see their player card right from there.

Now, you have to go to the stats page, choose team and P/B, and then scroll to the pitcher or batter and then choose to see the player card.

I don't understand why SDS would take out the old easy way to access the current pitcher and batter.

You've got to look a little more carefully. At the pause menu hit triangle, L2 or R2 to shift between the two cards (provided my memory is correct).

The old way was better. I agree. I liked how the pause menu of old would show the pitcher's current stats in that game as well.
