I was blowing through them, we all were. Now even tho it says its on veteren they definitely changed the sliders. The cpu touches black on almost all of their pitches, almost everything you hit is weak contact or warning track shots. The cpu defense is god squad, every position is gold glove.

They probably saw that soon everyone was going to have an all 42 lineup and decided to change it. They have had plenty of time to make these changes seeing as how the games been down more than not the last few days.

I was going to say something about this. I'm playing casually (Competitive mode) on Rookie and Veteran doing conquests and such, and the CPU is hitting all my dots and their pitching is freaking insane! The break on their pitches, the dotting, etc. It's like I'm playing on HOF or Legend and I just want to progress on a conquest map. I'm not looking to play Pitching Rebel or anything. This year's game definitely has the sliders jacked all the way up in the CPU's favor.

And also, am I the only one where the CPU literally throws 95% of their pitches at either the very bottom of the strike zone or below in the dirt? I seriously see almost every pitch at the bottom of the zone. In a 9 inning game vs CPU, I literally ground into 6-7 double plays because I have no choice but to swing at a low pitch or I'd strike out. It is ridiculous. Of course, when they finally get something up in the zone I either pop it up or mash it, but really tho?

And, my last rant, if I have someone on first with zero or one out, no matter the pitch or swing I put on the ball, 99% of the time it ends in a double play. It's like a guarantee for me. I don't get it. It was like that in 20 for me too and I'm a good player. My RS records was 70-29 last year and I got up to ~800 at one point, so I know how to play the game. It's not just that I suck or something. I just don't get it! I high fast ball and suddenly I swing and it's dropped halfway down my PCI? Ugh.

I agree. I beat 3 of 5 then lost like 5 in a row and have been struggling with the moments.

In those situations I like to sit low, looking for the breaking ball or changeup in the zone, reacting to a low to middle fastball since grounders can hurt you. I'll still hit DPs when I get fooled below the zone but if I read it right I feel like I can elevate the ball much better when I sit low than sitting middle or up

Load your roster with players the opposing handedness of the final boss pitcher. If you’re a decent hitter you’ll be fine. Remember the handedness of the pitchers you’ll face going through so you can do the same prior to the game to make each round easier. Know who throws high in the zone and low, they pitch you the same every time. Don’t be afraid to contact swing when in a pinch.

    Burnout makes Showdowns MUCH harder.

I can go from winning 5 straight 12-0 showdowns to only being able to put up 8 runs. The goal is to not get greedy. Swing at strikes and take poor pitches. If you fail a few in a row, take some extra time to do a few mini moments on your next one, it takes longer but that mentality of having a recent showdown win under your belt helps a lot.

This^. I was feeling it trying to finish the AL East, pressing too much. Took me a fluky Kyle Lewis hit with one out left to beat my second to last one. Can't get greedy.

I noticed it last night but to be honest some days I am just off and it wasn’t any kind of sds shenanigans, I was missing the pci enough to cause weak hits. Mainly because these pitchers with changeup/cutter or sinker kill me offline bc the cutter is like 83 mph on some of them lol. The cpu throws these 90 mph fastball guys and I have been sucking vs them ( I win but still). The next time I play I’m sure I’ll crush again.
