Server Stability 4/21/21 - UPDATE
-
OK, I can make a new post. Been getting an error message with "Forbidden" on it. So I will try to comment here. Anyone else having this issue?
Is there also an issue with the Show Nation site Community Market? I can't even sign in. I try to use the forgot my password and it does nothing. Does anyone have an idea what the deal is?

Meant to say Can't make a new post. Can even edit that last message because the same message comes up. SDS is a mess right now.

You know they just launched this game less than a week ago. Why cant everyone be patient and give SDS time to work thru these problems. Yes it's frustrating but they have acknowledged they understand the problem and are working to solve the issues. Everyone here agrees they have put out a good product but are dealing with server issues. They have always put out a good product or you wouldnt keep coming back year after year. Instead of all the negativity let's be patient.

OK, typing too fast and frustrated. Another Can for wanting Can't. My bad. Time for more coffee. HEE HEE

When I pay 100 dollars for something I expect it to work.

To comment an @Superpumper1_PSN, Well to me the issue has been one for years. We have been dealing with this way too long. You would think they would have the stress test done way before the launch. Plus the game came out late compared to past years. Yes, it has been a rough year for any company but the server should be their number one fix, knowing that every year it's the same thing. This game requires a connection to the server to play it like it is designed, well they should be ahead of the matter. The life of this game is designed around a calendar, there is a timer to complete things and those that want to have fun, start to get frustrated. To me, if the game is in my console, let me play and not have to deal with the server. There must be a way to play DD and leave the server out of it till it is fixed.

Wow.....still down?.....We all kind of saw this coming, servers were an issue in previous versions with only PS players anyway
-
Ofcourse it's frustrating but it's still within the first week of launch coming off a year with the pandemic and adding x-box users to the mix. They deserve a chance to work thru these issues. A month down the road if these problems are still there then I would agree it's a major problem. From most of the posts I've read people are happy with the gameplay and content. I know I am.

online still down, been trying since 8am EST. Are they still conducting maintenance? Would love some official word or acknowledgement of the issue from SDS...
-
This stuff is getting old. It's the same server issues every year. Why can't you guys stay on top of this? I couldn't play at all last night and still can't get on today. Now we get all the xbox users which is gonna make this so much worse. I lost progress on multiple moments that i completed. Also lost out on getting the player program points for beating the orioles on all star. This is a joke

SDS' response to this is Corporate Communications 101: Offer a broad, non-specific statement without offering any detail of when the problem will be fixed, then bury your head in the sand and ignore the flak. It's also unconscionable, not only considering how much money people spent on this game (myself, $100), but also how many, many of us can only carve out a certain amount of time to play. Combined with the late release, we're now going on three lost weeks of gameplay. I do expect (since you really can't demand it) SDS will offer some sort of compensation. But what this REALLY effects is the 1st Inning Program, and Ranked Seasons. I don't know what is fair or right here, but just spitballing ideas, they need to either give everyone a large chunk of XP toward the 1st Inning, or just give away the first inning bosses. And for RS, bump everyone up at least two levels, and give them the corresponding rewards. But the REAL right thing to do for those who spent the extra money on it is to give us back the $40 extra bucks we forked over for early access that was completely lost. There are A LOT of new people to the game this year, and many will not return because of this. For better or worse, apparently.

Now able to log in online using xbox, abysmally slow for me so far
-
Agree completely. I spent 100 on the game then anther 100 on stubs. It would be a little student if this was a new problem. This is every single year this happens. With 3 kids and full time job, i dint get much time play. SDS pretend like you care for once. I like the show game play but [censored], i really miss having 2k in the mix. Get rid of their monopoly in baseball games and maybe they might up their customer service and servers

Sike, I can sign in but can't get the MLB 21 site to load up
-
So what exactly is the problem with the servers? Are they just over crowded? If basically the same amount of users as are playing now continue to play, can the current servers handle it, or will the need to add more? Could it be something beyond too many users?
-
Great, now fix the website
-
SDS has acknowledged the 404 and 504 errors in another thread, said they are investigating now

Can't get onto the marketplace through mobile or desktop but I am able to get on via PS. Looks like they stabilized the servers a bit but had to nix access to the market on devices to achieve that. Disappointing but at least you can play now.
Very helpful when you want to flip some cards at work...
No, but if that's the sacrifice in order to be able to log on and play tonight when people come home from work, I'm all for it.
-
Really hoping it works tonight.... couldn't even get on last night and barely worked the night before.
-
I can get on with my xbox but my ps5 still wont connect.
