Also my equipment stats don’t carry over to the field. Plus I can’t customize my equipment. For instance I’ll change my batting gloves to both hands and save. Then when I’m up to bat it always goes back to one hand..
I've had a similar issue with cleats. When I equip new balance it shows addidas in the menu, but when in game it shows generic cleats.

Exactly the the appearance needs to be saved with each loadout. I have this issue too.

This all sounds great to me. Hopefully the future update fixing the bugs with progression isn't too far out.
Agreed. There needs to be a update soon and not dragged out.

We don't want the mode to be connected to DD. People in DD will never use the " Ballplayer " anyway. We can only make one player which can get stale very fast. The loadouts aren't very fun just let us progress our player as we play. What is so bad about gaining attributes by playing RTTS? Forced to be online to play is also a baffling decision so when the servers go off in 2 years the mode will be completely unplayable if you go to revisit the game or keep playing it. Also can't play when your servers go out or when our internet goes out. The progression system isn't very good when it works which it doesn't most of the time unfortunately. You are forced to play DD to progress your player currently because that is the only way the " programs " will track missions and stats. Also every time you go into loadouts it glitches out your gear and you have to switch everything back. Like it will give you just one batting glove put the foot guard back on forced sunglasses on always instead of when just fielding and much more including swing types when you have a built stance it can be very frustrating to have to fix it just because you went to the loadout screen to check " programs " progress. So please SDS just make RTTS like you used to for next years game. We want to be able to make multiple characters, not be connected to DD, and just gain attributes from playing not this " perk/architype " system.

How can you add a 4th or 5th pitch or is that broken until they fix the update issues with RTTS?
-
Also, and this a really low on the totem pole gripe, but why even let us play catcher if we can't call pitches? The main job of the catcher is to manage the pitcher and catch the ball. The best catchers in the game are known for their pitch calling and fielding ability. In RTTS a catcher does three things defensively: field bunts right at the plate, field popouts right at the plate, and throw out runners. That is ignoring 99% of what a catcher actually does. The only way to do what a real catcher does is to hit the watch game button, but even then it doesn't give you credit for putouts. If I have my catcher fielding opportunities set to all I should be able to : call the entire game, field popouts, field bunts, throw out runners, tag guys at the plate, and bat while simulating my teammate's at bats like every other position. There is absolutely no reason to play catcher currently because it is just gutted. This has been an issue going back as far as I can remember and should be addressed.

Just by chance are you guys activating loadout on the right side for each loadout? Or are you just adding it?

Main issues in Road to the Show are:
- Loadouts not properly loading during gameplay as well as appearance not reflecting each loadout.
- The training points pop up screen keeps showing the same skills you can boost. I still haven't seen a skill boost for power yet.
- Overalls have slow progression. I played 2 seasons and still stuck at a 60 overall.
- A blue circle arrow icon around our RTTS player randomly pops up in gameplay which is weird.
- Ya'll never fully explained how the perks work. How do we change our main perk for the loadouts to a silver, gold, or diamond.
- Baserunning needs to be fixed as well. When our RTTS player runs to first base there's a slight lag running to first base on chopped hits that should result in being safe on first.
I paid $100 for early access and I only play Road to the Show. The issues are still present even after launch day which is unacceptable. I been playing MLB The Show since The Show '14 on the PS4. If this was Diamond Dynasty a update would be released immediately. And to be quite honest it seems like the DD players are the only ones enjoying the game meanwhile RTTS users have to wait for a update to fully enjoy our mode. I wish ya'll actually took time and tested these modes thoroughly before releasing it.

I would not underestimate that number. A lot of people used DD's Create a player in previous years and this replaces that so it will get used.

Then keep them separate. We don't want DD and RTTS connected. It is nothing but bad

Is your Archetype progression broken like everyone elses? I have a feeling that upgrading the archetype to the next level will have far more impact on your progression and overall than the in game boosts.

I'm not disagreeing just letting you know that it will get used. And honestly I am not sure that they are any more happy about the new Ballplayer than they RTTS players.

I miss the days when they actually would let you call pitches. I would play catcher more then anything back then.

My main perks (the big square perks) are still at bronze but I have two gold perks. I don't even know how to change the big perks. The training skill pop up screen constantly shows the same attributes

I can answer a couple of those:
The blue circle you see is based off relationships with players on your team. Those relationships give you a chance to progress the attribute that is displayed within the circle.
The "Main Perks" are called Architypes. Based off of whichever one you are using will determine what the choice pack will contain in the reward/task tree. Bronze to start at end of reward tree you will then get a silver version of that architype being used so on and sorth til getting diamond.

This is the progression they are working on to fix.

I'm not talking about the circles on top of the players heads. I'm talking about the one where it circles the player like a icon circle if that makes sense. It looks like a circle you would get playing in franchise or dd. It randomly pops up. So you can't just change the main perks with stubs though? I only see the small perks in the perks store/inventory

you have to acquire them through the loadout program. when selecting your perks there is an option to hit square to view the program (x on xbox). Once they fix the tracking the missions in that program will be how you upgrade your main perk

The circle when fielding? If that is what you are talking about that is the "fielding indicator" as your player progresses the level of fielding your player is will indicate that color level within that circle. Bronze, silver, gold, and diamond.
I don't believe you can buy Architypes no. But perks you can yes.
