Ps5 main but ps4 for out of town question

So I've been playing franchise on ps5. Have to work out of town and not bringing the ps5 but I will the ps4. I have both versions of the show so does cross platform progress just a DD thing? Or am I able to continue my franchise that way on the ps4?

You can continue your franchise so long as you have PlayStation Plus and you upload your save data to the cloud. I did this for Franchise on 20.
