Absolutely unacceptable to not have SOTS
-
Only PS4 has the ability to use their own sounds/music in the game. I'm on Xbox series x... One of the best features, in any sports game, is removed....
Why would they do this? It literally makes this game feel and play even more realistic than it already is. The immersion it added is irreplaceable. This feature was very important and it's just gone.
This, on top of RTTS mode completely being ripped apart, makes it perfectly clear why there was literally nothing released about the game aside from bare bones details. Exactly like how 2K treats their games. No info then they release a half assed product
-
I'm not happy about this either, but they did say SOTS would only be on PS4.
-
Wasn't that added just recently though? Also no reason given why it wasn't added???

100% agree. Extremely disappointing that SOTS is only available on PS4. It is such a great feature, and it should be in all versions of the game. SOTS is so important to me that I am playing the PS4 version on my PS5 by choice. I care more about that than any of the “next gen” features, which aside from stadium creator, isn’t much in my opinion. I don’t understand why they took this feature out for all other versions. If there is a way they can add it this season to all versions of the game, that would be amazing, but I doubt it will happen.

It was slipped in there on Tuesday this week, give or take a day.
-
That's what I thought. So they could say hey looks it's the games website. Smh...

It's a copyright issue, if you are upset, talk to Microsoft.
Sony is the second largest record company behind UMG. They have ASCAP and BMI licenses for people to play and stream any records under those licenses.
It's the same if you go to a restaurant playing canned music, or having live music. You have to have the license or you can get hammered with copyright infringement.
Microsoft can either pay up, or, their player base can use an iPod for tunes while they game.
-
Not to mention, on the ps4 version, the jukebox gets wiped everytime you log out. You keep having to add all the songs to the jukebox again. I have over 500 songs imported.
It's almost like Rob Manfred is running SDS now.

I play PS5 version, who should I talk to?

You certainly don't need any sort of license to play an artists music at a restaurant.
-
On PS5 you can use Spotify at the same time you are playing.

Wrong. The next time you walk into a restaurant, look at the little stickers on the window. They'll have an ASCAP and BMI sticker, as they have to pay a yearly fee, it's based on building capacity.
Google it my friend, as a working musician, we deal with this often.
Edit: I see someone already shared that information with you. A lot of places I play have been emailed, called, and fined for not following the copyright laws. And, it's very expensive.
Xbox allows you to use spotify, because you pay a monthly fee, and/or advertising covers the cost to the musicians.
Music is property, you can't steal property, musicians need to be paid for their work, just like everyone else.

Preach brother well said.
-
Imagine how the Ps4 guys feel not having create a stadium. Little give little take.
-
How do you use Spotify while playing?
Also, it’s not a big loss for me. Listening to the same few garbage songs on a loop is not appealing to me.

- PS5 doesn't have it either.
- Why do you people keep mentioning using another way to listen to music. No [censored] I can use spotify or my phone... I'm talking about SOUNDS OF THE SHOW. Can you read? It's literally in the thread title.... Music and sounds during the game. Batter up music, homeruns music, etc.

You know what I miss? The little snippets of recorded broadcast/radio audio that would pop in. Those were both unique and cool, wish those would come back.
