42 Player packs available to be earned later on?

Gome's latest video said the only way to get the 42 sellable diamonds is to buy them.
I'm about 85% sure in the stream they said these would be earnable in different ways eventually (not until at least the 20th when everyone else can play).
Does anyone know this for sure? I can't find the original stream.
Don't think I'll lock for Jackie since I don't like contact hitters and I stunk w him last year, but curious about the 42 series nonetheless.

I’m got Stanton in the team affinity program, pretty sure you can get them in there.

Jackie will have +5 on all stats when you level him up. This is easily the best Jackie card we have ever seen, and likely the best 2B in the game all year. Only a juiced almoar card would beat him out.

At some point they will give out those packs so much you won't even bother choosing one but will just take your free 5k stubs and be done with it

Jackie’s cards never play great to me to be honest. That Soriano looks insane.

The OP is talking about the 10 legends. You need all 10 legends and all 30 TA to get enough 42 Series cards to get 99 Jackie.
