I’m seeing tons of negative comments about showdown. Everyone seems to be complaining about it being too hard, and saying it shouldn’t cost stubs. I have no issue with the cost, you get rewards if you do well enough, so to risk some stubs is fine. I would be fine if eventually there were showdowns that cost more and had better rewards.
As far as the difficulty, I’m loving it. I actually had to try to beat the 1st inning showdown. I had to do it I think like 4 maybe 5 times. It made it a fun challenge. Why does everyone want things to be easy, then it’s just mindless grinding. I’m one who really enjoyed conquest extreme and moments extreme, I love a good challenge. I just wanted to put a positive post up about showdown so SDS can see that at least someone likes it. I hope they don’t give in to all the people saying it needs to be easier.

I just wish we could choose the hitting difficulty. I think they put it on Veteran. I would much rather All Star or HoF. Timing and exit velos seem way off on Veteran.

I like showdown, just don’t really care about the rewards enough to do it yet, but it’s a fun idea. Makes moments feel worth something

I like Showdown quite a bit, but the slow pitch speeds really throw off my timing for online.

The slow pitch speeds are really ruining the game for me. I love the content but the pitch speeds are terrible. Pitching in online games is not much fun. Fastballs right now are pitches you have to use sparingly, only get away with them if you slip an occasional one in and surprise your opponent. I took Smoltz from my preorder pack and that seems pretty useless now as almost every game is a slugfest. And I know ranked season in the early going is on veteran but I notice no difference in the event on all star. Really disappointed reading the patch notes and seeing no pitch speed increase.

Basically idea was great. There's only one problem in showdown I think - DIFFICULTY : ROOKIE > ALL-STAR? no way

The combo of Rookie difficulty and super human CPU defense is quite frustrating for me, I really like the idea but it needs tuning imo

The pitch speeds and the 1K entry fee is really bumming me out. Feels like a massive cashgrab with games that aren't even enjoyable because you're hitting a whiffleball, not a baseball...
